Course Curriculum Overview

2

the curriculum provided my national medical council not only ensures that a student gains knowledge but also he/she learns it to their fullest potential to be able to apply it practically in their future

Internships Opportunities

5

As I stepped into esteemed kilpauk medical college I was filled with a mix of excitement and trepidation The prospect of applying theoretical knowledge in a real world setting was daunting yet thrilling The internship proves to be a transformative experience

Fees and Financial Aid

yearly tuition fee 18000 which remains constant but for 7.5 reservation that is for government school reservations it is completely free. department fees is collected which sums up 1000 rupees for each department. in the first year we have four subjects we pay 4000.

Campus Life

3

here especially this year much social events are not conducted because of the new dean and we highy miss that aspect of our college like and the infrastructure can be improved a lot. but sports and dance can be well appreciated here

Hostel Facilities

4

the food here is very good and the menu is well appreciated and accommodating room is also very good. the room provided is well apt for the price paid so its a good place to stay for outsiders to stay

Admission

i applied for madras medical college and stanley before this but couldnt get into it because of their cut offs i considered this option over madurain medical college because it is in the centre of a city which gives it an advantage of high patient flow but after 3 months of being here i kind if regret choosing kilpauk medical college over madurai

Faculty

4

the faculty to student ratio is well appreciated here and their commitment to teaching is highly valued. there are a total of 4 or 5 sets of internal assessments for each subjects and we have 3 subjects in the first year

Night Life

3

we do have gym canteen library in the hostel and the intime curfew is around 7 30 for the first years. but will be extended in the later years. cooperative store is present in college is now new and improved which is appreciated and can be utilised during break times

Course Curriculum Overview:

It deals with patient care and clinical diagnosis along with hands on training the influenced my decision to take up this course. Through ward postings, history taking and case discussion it prepares me well for my PG exams and further future pursuits. Skill based learning should be emphasised more along with small group teaching. Sometimes the close spacing of exams can be very stressful. Difficulty level is appropriate.

Course Curriculum Overview:

the course is very challenging obviously as we're studying to become doctors. it could've been better by increasing the duration of the course. our first year/ semester instead of it being for 12 months was only of 9-10 months so our portions are being pushed a little. it happened due the scam etc around neet and our course start date was pushed. the course could be made easier by increasing the duration of the course. we have exams every week which does make it easier to keep up with the portions but makes it too stressful for us. maybe instead of keeping exams on monday they could change it to saturday so we can relax and be free on sundays.

Placement Experience:

The students in their internship will get around 35000 per month excluding their mess fees, they have the option to opt out of the mess. And once they finish their internship they had to do two years bond in places where the colleges allot them and the salary for those two years will be decided by the place the person goes and itll be definitely more than what they get during internship.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The college strictly follows NMC rules and which is a very good thing as it helps us prepare for both theory and practical as theory give u the vast knowledge and practical allows us to imply what we learnt and also after the new rules of introducing histology we can also apply the idea of more creativity in a field a lot of creativity is yet to be unfolded they also cover important aspects through regular workshops and educate us with guest lectures from other colleges the important improvement which should be done is having the patience to teach a. Crowd of 250 which teachers should undergo special 2-3 classes to make sure they know what they teach is being reached out to everyone the timing of exam and everything is on time theh give us enough time to prepare and get ready
