Course Curriculum Overview

2

The course curriculum includes courses from all areas like computer science, science, social and many more which gives us knowledge about all the areas. The computer science courses help us learn almost all the languages in a good way.The exams will be conducted within a gap of 1 to 1.5 months in between and as I told earlier cat 2 will be a bit difficult and remaining will be moderate

Placement Experience

3

I am a first year student and doesn't know much about placement.Bur the placement here is decent.Last year 4 students for superdream offers from Google and Amazon.Companies like Google, microsoft, zoho, tcs, infosys, amazon, flipkart ,etc visit here and provide offers

Fees and Financial Aid

The total hostel fee I paid was 1,73,000 since I chose 3bed non AC room and veg mess. This includes admission fees of 15000(non refundable) and caution deposit of 15000(refundable when we leave). This need not be paid next year. The hostel fee varies according to the mess and roomtype we choose. For veg mess it is 78800,for nonveg mess it is 87900 and for special mess it is 97700.any one of this can be choosed by us.The total tuition fee I paid was 198000 since I came through first category through viteee. The tuition fee is divided into 5 categories.

Campus Life

4

The overall social life here is good and there are people from different states of India as well as foreigners. So we get a lot of exposure. The technical fest here would be tecno vit where students from other colleges also visit. This will be very interesting. The cultural festival is called vibrance which is one of the biggest fest. This will be held for around 5 days and each day will be awesome. There would be concerts,This year it is happening from Feb 26 to march 2.There will be other events also happening. There are sufficient books available in the library. There are several clubs including technical and non-technical clubs

Hostel Facilities

4

The hostel facilities are good. There are many different options available for room and mess that can be choosed.tThe food in mess is pretty good and the mess menu is changed every month which doesn't make us feel bored of the taste

Admission

I actually wrote jee mains and aimed to nit trichy.but I didn't get good courses in good nits as I got only 96.2 percentile.I also applied for amrita university, coimbatore.I could have got an admission there also but in 2nd category fee.I got admission here in 1st category fee and also I felt vit is better than amrita in terms of exposure and placements. That is the reason I came to vit.To get admission in our college for btech courses we should write viteee exam and cross the cutoff. The cutoff will vary each year

Faculty

3

Most of the faculties are good and easily approachable.I liked my physics teacher ramkumar sir as he is very friendly. The best faculties as far as I know is ramkumar sir for physics and nathiya mam for det. They have good knowledge about the subject. There are several courses offered here and students of each department will be given a minimum number of credits which should be completed within 4 years. For each sem there are 3 exams(2 cat(15% weightage each) and 1 fat) out of these 3 cat2 is open notes exam and it seems to be a bit difficult

Night Life

4

The life here is good. There is a gym, salon , a lot of foodcourts , cafes ,stores , swimming pool and a lot more inside the campus itself. There is also a free gym inside the hostel itself. The hostel intime is 8 pm for girls and 9 pm for boys

Other Applied Colleges

Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham | Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Computer Science and Engineering)

Thought vit would be better than that
