Course Curriculum Overview

3

Since my course has both electronics and computers i though i would be industry ready for both the subjects. But it made more confusing and made my course harder as it was tough to cope up with both the subjects together. The exams can be less tough for us to score good CGPA. The teaching is fine but most faculties teach in their accents and copy paste the internet slides.

Internships Opportunities

2

companies like KPMG Delloite EY kickdrum amazon microsoft NVIDEA google NTTDATA british telecom nutanix bank of baroda accenture cognizant philips ION work india gave stipend. It varied company to company of how much stipend they will provide but mainly it is from 15k to as high as 60k

Placement Experience

3

From semester 6 we are eligible to sit in placement. more than 300 companies visited for particularly B.Tech like TCS LTIMINDTREE INFOSYS HCL GOOGLE MICROSOFT BRISTOL AND MEYERS BAJAJ FINSERV PWC SAINT GOBAIN COGNIZANT and many more average package is 6 lpa around 80% students get placed my plan is to get a good IT job and get settled

Fees and Financial Aid

3750000 Tution fees- 1950000 caution fees-1500 there are no lab fees it is all included But if you get any backlog you will have to pay 6000 per subject to re register. there are 5 categories. category 1-1950000 per year category 2-280000 per year and so on with difference of around 850000 in each category. NO SCHOLARSHIP OR ANY FINANCIAL AID.

Campus Life

4

We have two main fest. one is techno VIT which is technical fest and other is Vibrance which if fun fest in which singers and dj and dancers come. It is 3 to 4 day fest. Other than that all festivals are celebrated like holi diwali pongal etc. There is a big library which works morning to night 12 am. we can issue any book of our choice many sports events are held of badminton volley ball cricket etc which includes both intra and inter college competition. there are many clubs which held events and make students life happening and busy.

Hostel Facilities

1

There are sharing rooms like 2 bed ac 3 bed ac 4 bed ac and 6 bed ac. and similarly non ac rooms also. Meal is horrible. we get breakfast lunch snacks and dinner. there is more south indian food than north indian. The ac work from evening 7 pm to morning 6 am and on weekends full day. the washrooms are very horrible. there are apartments to live for dayscholars like tata homes and sbio.

Admission

I applied in BITS,MIT,SRM and VIT and I have WBJEE too. I chose this college as my relatives did their course here and i was inspired by them. And i heard VIT has good NRIF ranking. I got selected in MIT and SRM. I did not choose MIT because of compromised reputation and SRM because of more money. For my college that is VIT we have to give VITEEE and based on the ranking and counselling we are given branch and category which we cannot change.

Faculty

3

For every 70 students there is 1 faculty for any subject. The faculties are from different departments and they teach in which they have done PHD. I like rohit G my AI ML faculty as he the most sweetest and helpful person who wants every student to succeed. I hate extreme south indian faculties as they have biasness towards their committee. The exams are CAT 1 CAT 2 each for 50 marks then DA for 10 marks each and contributes to 30% of marks and final exams of 100 marks. in which it is necessary to get 40 at least to pass. The curriculum is okayish but the credit system is a little difficult otherwise it is okay but can be better

Night Life

1

There is a common gym with different timings of boys and girls which take payments every semester. but there are also gyn in every hostel but it has less equipments and odd timings. We get outing on weeday of 4 hours and on weekends of 6 hours. But hostel in timings are 8 pm for girls and for boys 9 pm. there are few hangout places inside college like dominos and gazebo and tee tier. Outside college there are many beaches and various malls and restaurants.

Other Applied Colleges

SRM Institute of Science and Technology - [SRMIST] | Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Computer Science and Engineering)

I did not opt for this college because I heard negative things like less strictness and fewer placement opportunities as well. Moreover I heard that there was less discipline and chances of going to wrong path was more.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The specific aspect which is great future on IT Field of the curriculum that influenced my decision to choose the course. The curriculum prepared me to solve tough real-world logical aptitude test and coding test. The course curriculum is only based on the theory in several areas. My suggestion is to improve that too in practical manner for better real-world understanding. The frequency and the timing of my exams along with my perspective on the difficulty level is 2hrs.
