Remarks

Inshort the college is good in terms of studies and placements. The infrastructure is okay. There is a college canteen a nescafe and mother dairy corner too. Overall the faculty is good the hostel is good and there are many workshops taking place. So if you can go for the college.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course curriculum is based on AKTU. It is preset and cannot be altered. There are various choices for optional subjects that could be changed but all the syllabus is theoretical and a few numerical for CSE branch. There are labs for various coding subjects though.

Internships Opportunities

I guess college does not provide with any internships but we have an Entrepreneur cell where you can come up with the start-up ideas of your own and present it to tge society. If your project is liked by them and is selected then they sponsor you. Plus these start-up type events keep occurring throughout the year so there are many opportunities. Also college keeps conducting many workshops based on every stream's interest and needs.

Placement Experience

4.5

The placements to be honest are damn good. It was very good this year for session 2018-19. There is a company lined up everyday from sales to it and also many companies are called for mechanical and civil branch. I myself am placed in 2 leading companies IBM and TCS. Till the session end every student gets placed from the CS and IT branch. Placements are the sole reason i joined NIET for.

College Events

4

Well events is the only place where the college lags. There are very less or say no casual events that take place. But there are many technical events taking place. There is a freshers party function that occurs after the orientation of freshers. There are tech fests that take place twice in a year. Along with that many college work related people keep visiting and there are events for that too.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Well the fee structure is feasible according to me apart from NIET being a private college. The fees for btech ranges from Rs. 95,000 to 1,10,000. If you opt to stay in the college hostel then you have to pay Rs. 65,400 for the 3 seater unattached bathroom room's and the price varies from 2 seater to attached bathroom rooms. Also AKTU provides with scholarships and fee waviours.

Fees and Financial Aid

AKTU provides with state scholarships and fee waviours based on the rank you secured in the counselling. The state scholarship is for everyone. Anyone with low income levels and who is not a government employ can avail that scholarship of Rs. 64,000 every year.

Campus Life

2.5

The extracurricular activities are also well kept. There is a football, basketball, volleyball court. Also there is a gym in the first year campus. There are also facilities for various indoor games such as chess and carrom.

Hostel Facilities

4

If you opt to stay in the college hostel then you have to pay Rs. 65,400 for the 3 seater unattached bathroom room's and the price varies from 2 seater to attached bathroom rooms. The rooms are very big and spacious unlike the private pg and hostels. The food is of good quality and tastes better than any other college. There are various varieties of snacks and everything and everything is of good quality. The cleanliness is also maintained very well. The washrooms and bathrooms are cleaned everyday. The rooms are also broomed everyday and sweeped once a week. But there are no cooler or AC rooms. If you want you can keep your own cooler but you have to pay charge of Rs. 500 for that. There is also a common TV room with a table tennis table. Also there is a mini playground with a basketball and badminton court. There is also a yoga instructor provided. But the hostel is like a jail in case of timings. If you have to go out or go home you have to get a gatepass signed a day before by the warden. The in time in hostel im summers is 7 p.m. and in winters is 6 p.m. plus the inner channel of the building closes at 10 p.m. and you cannot leave the building unless incase of any emergency.

Alumni/Alumna

Yes there is an Alumni meet that takes place every year where students come and share their experiences of their jobs etc. The seniors are very helpful and friendly if you are willing to seek help. You can to them and gain knowledge about future preferences.

Exam Structure

Exam structure is again based on the AKTU pattern. There are 2 sessionals in one semester of 30 marks per subject. Then before the final exam there is Pre University Test (PUT) of 100 marks. You can appear for 2 out of these exams as a compulsion. It is not necessary to give all 3 but 2 is minimum. Then there are the final semester exams for every subject. After you are done with that pracricals are held and then there is wrap for semester. In my college you don't have to worry for the internal marks. They are fairly assigned if you are well behaved. Many students score full internal marks also.

Admission

I got into the college through UPTU (Uttar Pradesh Technical University) entrance exam now known as AKTU (APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University). You have to appear for this exam and after the results are out there is a procedure of online choice filling where you can fill the colleges affiliated to AKTU and choose your preferred B.Tech branch and lock it. After the counselling you are assigned a college based on your rank and choices locked. Then you have to go to the verification centre assigned for documents verification. In NIET you can also take direct admissions. There is an interview round for that.

Faculty

4

The faculty is good and hard-working also they are well educated with clear English pronunciations. The first year faculty is the best. The college provides the cream faculty to the first year students. They make you work hard with all the assignments and stuff too. After coming to second year there is a little ease but nothing really changes. Assignments are always there and teachers dedication also pertains.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is well structured and keep up with the evolving trends of industry. It balance Theoretical and knowledge and practical application, helping students build a strong foundation in core subjects like programming mathematics and engineering fundamentals. The curriculum Includ Laboratory session Projects and tutorials that enhance understanding beyond the textbooks It also allows students to choose elective in later semester which adds flexibility and depth to learn. In terms of revevance, most subjects are designed to align with current industry requirements especially in field like computer science and electronics the inclusion of emerging technologies such as ai data science and web development makes it quite comprehensive. However a few areas could be improved such as integrating more industry based project and updating some older Syllabus to match modern tools and frameworks. Overall the curriculum is relevant ,comprehensive and career-oriented providing a solid base for both higher studies and professional development.

Students from third year have started getting Pre-Placement Offers, but many of those are majorly due to their own accomplishments. Students get ample amount of time to intern at various law firms and courts, to secure a PPO on their own. In addition to this, the Internship and Placement Committee, often comes in aid to secure PPOs for the students of the graduating batch.

Being away from the city's chaos it's both peaceful and pollution free while taking care of both your physical and mental health at once.staff and seniors are friendly and cooperative. The college having students from around the country helps you learn new cultures and traditions which as whole is an enriching experience.the most exciting part is that the students that have passed out or graduated from the college are doing well.studying in this college has been a wholesome experience for me.
