Course Curriculum Overview

4

I always have been a fan of literature so choosing the course was a no-brainer for me. Most of the teachers are very kind and nice, especially in the English dept. The course is designed based on Eng Lit period after period which comes all together in the 3rd year.

Fees and Financial Aid

As it is a college affiliated with BHU it follows its fee structure. My fee for the first year was around 10k; then, it was 9700 for the rest of my college years (2nd and 3rd year). This is also without practical, if you have practical subjects then your fee will also be higher. There are some scholarships for special-category students whose AE is less than 8k.

Campus Life

3

There are many different clubs, but let me warn you that they are a bit lacklustre but teachers are very involved. And there are different workshops and seminars on different topics regularly. Asie that there is also NSS and NCC.

Admission

I chose this because I didnt get the particular course I wanted anywhere else. I was very confused during my college admissions because I didn't know what to pursue so applied for different courses that intrigued me but later I was sure that I only wanted to pursue English literature, hence the choice.

Faculty

3

The faculty members are nice we always have 2 teachers per sem for one subject. The exams are the standard sem exams with external and internal. The exams are tough, the marking scheme is a bit stricter than the main campus.

Night Life

3

The college gets over at 4 pm. As it is an outer area there is not much but you can always visit the Namo Ghat, there are many various types of fun and food there. Also, there is an archaeological site just beside the college, you can have picnics there, especially in winter. There is also a gym, cafeteria, stationary, library, a basketball field and a badminton court where students and some teachers play together after classes.

Other Applied Colleges

Delhi University - [DU] | Bachelor of Science [B.Sc] (Home Science)

The course was not my liking

University of Allahabad - [AU] | Bachelor of Arts + Bachelor of Law [BALLB] {Hons.}

The course was not relevant for me later

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum at Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) is well structured, relevant, and comprehensive. One of the main reasons I chose this course was its balanced syllabus, which includes both theoretical concepts and practical applications. The curriculum is designed in a way that builds a strong foundation in core subjects while also introducing advanced topics gradually. This helps students understand subjects deeply rather than just studying for exams.

i have always shown interest in psychology and this was a force which pulled me here to study psychology. i would suggest some aspects of improvement like more real life study instead of just learning stuffs from the book. real life experinces and situations makes a student to connect and understand those topic more clearly. practical subject examination are of about 50 marks 2 papers and non practical subject of 70 marks 2 set of paoer each. i have also given an internal examination of around 25 marks for pract and 30 for non pract 1hr exam. sem exam of 2 hr each paper

Course Curriculum Overview:

I'm from humanities background so the course is quite relevant for me. The course is quite outdated however it's the same for most of the universities. the curriculum should be aligned with the competitive exams and the teaching methods should be more inclusive about the competitive exams so that the student can prepare well not only for the present course but also further upcoming exams.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course because i was always inclined towards economics as a subject as well as real life application of it. The specific aspects of curriculum which influenced my decision of choosing this course were the integrated syllabus and practical knowledge being imparted in this. It helps me to analyse data and understand real world problem from a broader horizon which wouldn't have been possible otherwise. Even though there isnt any improvement needed since the faculty itself is extremely focused as to impart the best of their knowledge to us and is very well trained and supportive. The frequency of the exams is twice a year(2 set of semester exams and 2 sets of sessional exams within each year) timing of the exam is 2.5 hour for semester exam of each subject and 1 hour for sessional which are of 70 marks and 30 marks respectively. The difficulty level of the exams is moderate, if a student attends regular classes they would easily qualify the exams with a good grade and CGPA.
