Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course curriculum at Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) is well structured, relevant, and comprehensive. One of the main reasons I chose this course was its balanced syllabus, which includes both theoretical concepts and practical applications. The curriculum is designed in a way that builds a strong foundation in core subjects while also introducing advanced topics gradually. This helps students understand subjects deeply rather than just studying for exams.

Fees and Financial Aid

The total fee for my course is approximately INR 2,18,670 for the entire duration of three years. The fee is collected on a year-wise basis. In the first year, I paid around INR 72,890, which included tuition fees, admission fees, registration fees, development charges, and laboratory fees. In the second and third years, a similar amount is charged, with a slight increase every year as per the institute’s fee structure. Overall, the fees show a gradual increase but remain reasonable compared to

Campus Life

I applied for few universty but i selected at amu this is good for environment and good and molana azad university is good for learning and to learn new skills amu conduct 600+ courses because this is

Hostel Facilities

3

There is no room for 1st year student and you will have to live out of the hostels and there is a lots of expenditure around 1 lakh every year with each course this is increased fee by the vice chanceoller of the university

Admission

I applied to a few other universities along with Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), but AMU was my first preference due to its strong academic reputation, affordable fees, and well-structured curriculum. Compared to other colleges, AMU offers better faculty quality and campus facilities at a much lower cost. I could not secure admission in some other colleges due to high cutoffs and limited seats

Faculty

4

Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) has a well-qualified and experienced faculty, most of whom hold PhD degrees and have strong academic as well as research backgrounds. The faculty-to-student ratio is balanced, which allows students to interact with teachers during and after lectures. Most professors are approachable and supportive, especially for academic doubts, internal assessments, and project guidance. The teacher–student relationship is generally respectful and professional. The course structure at AMU is well designed and follows a semester system. The syllabus is a mix of theoretical knowledge

i have always shown interest in psychology and this was a force which pulled me here to study psychology. i would suggest some aspects of improvement like more real life study instead of just learning stuffs from the book. real life experinces and situations makes a student to connect and understand those topic more clearly. practical subject examination are of about 50 marks 2 papers and non practical subject of 70 marks 2 set of paoer each. i have also given an internal examination of around 25 marks for pract and 30 for non pract 1hr exam. sem exam of 2 hr each paper

Course Curriculum Overview:

I'm from humanities background so the course is quite relevant for me. The course is quite outdated however it's the same for most of the universities. the curriculum should be aligned with the competitive exams and the teaching methods should be more inclusive about the competitive exams so that the student can prepare well not only for the present course but also further upcoming exams.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course because i was always inclined towards economics as a subject as well as real life application of it. The specific aspects of curriculum which influenced my decision of choosing this course were the integrated syllabus and practical knowledge being imparted in this. It helps me to analyse data and understand real world problem from a broader horizon which wouldn't have been possible otherwise. Even though there isnt any improvement needed since the faculty itself is extremely focused as to impart the best of their knowledge to us and is very well trained and supportive. The frequency of the exams is twice a year(2 set of semester exams and 2 sets of sessional exams within each year) timing of the exam is 2.5 hour for semester exam of each subject and 1 hour for sessional which are of 70 marks and 30 marks respectively. The difficulty level of the exams is moderate, if a student attends regular classes they would easily qualify the exams with a good grade and CGPA.
