Course Curriculum Overview

3

The curriculum in itself i would say is decent. There is nothing wrong with that.As mentioned before it largely depends on how much time you give to each course and how your confidence is towards that specific course. Also depends on your faculty. If someone carefully uses their time to study for exams and try to understand the course they will surely succeed but yes it will require time and patience and many a times things will seem out of order.

Internships Opportunities

3

Not yet known much about the internship opportunities but if your performed well in your college you should be able to get one with good stipends.Stipends obviously depend on companies which arrive and vary greatly.

Placement Experience

3

The exact data regarding placements is not known to anyone. However students start getting placment opportunities from the end of 3 rd year(6th semester).Recently due to oversaturation a large percentage of student are not getting placed but usually if you work hard you will be able to get on campus placements.

Fees and Financial Aid

The tution fees depends largely on what rank you secure in your VITEEE.The rank co relates to your yearly tution fees.Fees depends largely on what course you opt for(usually highest being for computer science and engineering.)Note to be made is that only the tution fees is varied for every other student, hostel and mess and all other things are same for everyone.

Campus Life

3

The campus life it itself is not the most vibrant. The in-times for hostels of girls and boys are 8 PM and 9 PM respectively, which all my friends agree too is way too early. In a calendar year there are 2 main fests. One is a technical fest(TECHNOVIT) and one is cultural fest(VIBRANCE),in which several singers, artists come as guests to our college to perform.

Hostel Facilities

4

In AC hostels, all rooms are air conditioned so we are able to bear the chennai heat very easily. The food is decent in the mess. There are not a lot of other rented availibilies around the campus however, like PGS and apartments so majority of the students prefer to stay in hostels.

Admission

I could not get admission in any govt. engineering colleges as i did not score sufficient marks in IIT JEE.I applied in other colleges like MANIPAL,KIIT etc.but my father and I both agreed the VIT would be the best of the lot considering it's placement opportunites and infrastructure.

Faculty

2

The faculty to student ratio is decent. However some faculties are really bad, while some are good.Honestly it is your luck which decides which faculty you get.Overall try to stay in good terms with your faculty.

Night Life

3

There are hangout spots in the college, mostly located around eateries. The library is clean and has 3 floors, each having different categories of books in it.Each men's hostel has a gym in it.There is also a paid gym.

Other Applied Colleges

Manipal Institute of Technology - [MIT] | Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Computer Science and Engineering)

Didn't think this was quite as good as VIT.

Placement Experience:

Students can join job drives from the 7th term. Many firms visit the campus for jobs and offer roles in tech and other fields. The pay varies by firm and role. EEC has a good job rate and gives help for job prep. After my degree, I plan to work in the tech field and grow my skills.

Placement Experience:

Students are open to campus placements from 2nd year onwards. There are many companies who visit such as Delloite, Accenture, Cognizant, TCS, Amazon, NatWest, Nokia, etc. Highest package offered is 42 lpa and lowest is maybe 2-4lpa. Around 90% of students get placed here. My plans is to get a job through campus recruitment. Currently I got an internship through campus recruitment in Cognizant so the recruitment is quite nice here.

Placement Experience:

One thing I really need to appreciate at CIT is its placement training program. The placement team conducts regular sessions on 1. aptitude 2. coding 3. communication skills 4. group discussions and 5. interview preparation which helped me feel more confident during placements. The trainers were friendly and always encouraged us to improve our skills step by step. They provide continuous guidance and feedback throughout the training process. Mock interviews and one to one assessments helped me to understand my strength and weak areas and I work on improvements . These sessions not only improved my technical and communication skills but also boosted my confidence . The placement training team played an important role in preparing me for career opportunities and industry expectation

Placement Experience:

Chennai Institute of Technology is an instituition that truly prioritizes student career growth . The placement cell is exceptionallu well-organized ,consistently connecting students with reputed companies across various industries. What makes CIT stood out is the quality of its training staff. They focus heavily on communication , technical knowledge and competitive preparation ,align students with what top companies expect ,and contiuosly push us to improve and meet industry standards. Their structured training helped me to clearly identify my strengths and work on my weak areas, which made a huge difference during interviews and boosted my overall confidence. The department faculty are equally commnedable ,knowledgable ,approachable and genuinely invested in student career. Overall CIT is an excellent choice for anyone focused on building a strong and sucessful career

Actually i like computer jobs. So i selected the course. Its very different one. Mainly programming. But its very interesting and valuable.cse computer science is a very high value course and i have lot of opportunities after completing the course. I.think in this types of course in curriculum they want to include practical sections more than text books.
