Course Curriculum Overview

4

I was always into research and concerned about nature and depleting environment. So this course was the best for me to opt , all the experiments and labs we have all are useful in our day to day life and have meaning in doing that so , micro lab and enscience lab is the best among the rest and zoology lab is also engaging sometimes.

Internships Opportunities

3

Placements are very good for people doing BBA and from commerce dept, for science dept there might not be much placements because after doing bsc there will be a need of doing Masters and then we can pursue our desired profession.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yearly wise fees: 80,000 covering all the college expenses, it may vary for other's based on where are they from it costs more for NRI students like 1,20,000. The fees may also depend on your religion since this is a Christian College it gives some privileges to Christian students and students from backward class

Campus Life

4

Many fests happen in a year the major one is the culah and pre kalah,we have access to a very big library with all kinds of books available, the facilities are all very well provided and there are around 300 associations of which we can be a member.

Admission

The course I wanted to take up were only available in Mount Carmel college that was reason I wanted to join this college and also the place and the college attracted me towards it , and also the college expenses were okay to cover.

Faculty

4

Faculty to student ratio can be 20 students for like one teacher, Helen roselene mam is the best, she's our Hod for enscience, and Anu Kurian mam (micro teacher) teaches too good and shreeja mam from zoo dept and Sandhya mam from botany dept are my favourites. The end semester exam paper was good .

Night Life

3

I don't hang out often we just sometimes go for a walk with my roommates and try food at various places , the locality I'm living at is safe to roam around in night so that's not an issue, i try out various foods and beverages out .

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is very easy for undergraduate students in the first year. I am not aware about the 2nd and 3rd year curriculum. The teaching could be improved in the following ways: Teachers can try to be more informative about the topics they are teaching and give us more details which could help us to crack competitive exam which most students write at the end of their undergraduate studies.

Course Curriculum Overview:

My course is a triple disciplinary course in Biotechnology, Chemistry and Microbiology. It's a pretty impressive yet morbidly difficult course over other such courses. It's future aspects span a huge range of jobs with inclusions like research and development as well as corporate jobs. There is nothing to be improved more in this course, it's pretty much self sufficient the way it is. The frequency of exams is pretty average however there are frequent class tests which is important for the students' development. Thetiming of the cia is 1.5 hr and for the end sems is 3hr. The papers are pretty standard however he Chemistry paper is difficult.

Placement Experience:

The placement scene in this college is promising, especially for students pursuing B.Sc and M.Sc programs. it has a dedicated placement and training cell that actively prepares students for the recruitment process by mock interviews. students become eligible for placements in final year. the top recruiting companies includde infosys, wipro, cognizant etc. On an average 50 to 60% of eligible students get placed with the remaining either pursuing higher education or looking for opportunities in civil service or elsewhere. My plans after my graduation is to pursue masters in forensic science in NFSU and then to work in the FSLs
