Course Curriculum Overview

3

I chose CSE because I had a great interest in computer. How it works what it can do and more. Curriculum are not updated to date. It need to be changed. I think they should start be more practical than in theory.

Internships Opportunities

3

Various companies came here for intership and placement like adobe, jp Morgan, amazon ,google. I didn't get interned right now but I made a project on finance manager with flask based python, mongodb and bootstrap.

Fees and Financial Aid

My fees structure of CSE is 10000 per year in which it divided as 52500 for first sixth months and 47500 for next sixth months.(Excluding other fees). My batch mates also have same fees structure but some got scholarship for SC/ST of 20000 to 30000.

Campus Life

3

Various fests are organised by our college. But one of the main fest is "Parivartan". And also freshers party. There are many books in our library with regularly updated. In class room there are projecter as well as White board are there. Various sports activities and fests are also organised by college as well as Student or clubs.

Admission

I didn't applied other colleges. I first applied here and got admitted. I chose this college because of its affordable in fees. I submit the form online for getting admission. Eligibility criteria to get admission here is above 75% in 12th class.there are not exams.

Faculty

4

Faculty to student ratio is 1:60. Faculty are very friendly in nature(excluding some teacher). I liked almost all my faculty teacher due to their teaching style and nature. There are 4 exams held in a year (including mid semester exams). For some subject exam came too tough most of students get fail.

Night Life

3

Gym start from 5.30 am to 8 am then in evening 5.00 pm to 7 pm . Library opens at 10 am and closed at 4.30 pm. Public area working at college hours. Various hangout place are Parivartan ground, aasqui chowk etc.

Placement Experience:

As a BE Computer Science student at Chandigarh University, placements are decent but depend a lot on individual skills. Students become eligible for campus placements from the 6th semester, and most of the placement process happens in the 7th and 8th semesters. Many companies visit the campus every year like Microsoft, Amazon, Cognizant, Capgemini, TCS, Infosys, Wipro and some startups as well. There are a good number of offers made, especially from mass recruiters like TCS, Infosys and Cognizant. The highest package claimed by the university goes very high, even above 40 LPA, but those are for a very small number of students. Realistically, the average package for CSE students is around 5 to 7 LPA. Mass recruiters usually offer packages between 3 to 5 LPA. Around 70 to 80 percent of students get placed if they are consistent with coding and preparation. Those who depend only on college studies may find it harder due to high competition. The university also provides training for aptitude, coding tests and interviews which helps in preparation. After completing my degree, my plan is to get placed in a good product based company. At the same time, I am also focusing on improving my coding skills and working on projects so that I can aim for better opportunities or even higher studies if needed.

1) I want to go in construction industry so i chose this field. 2) Currently our college curriculum is updated so its relevant i will say around 70 to 80% . 3) For improvement Faculties should be brought from all over india as professors here are only concentrated from ludhiana itself. and labs are very old it should be upgraded. 5) In a semester there are 2 monthly exams and one end semester exam. 6) As far as difficuly level of exam is concerned it is not much difficult if someone solved PYQ thoroughly.
