Course Curriculum Overview
i always wanted to become a software developer and this course is captivating as it offers real life projects. I feel like curriculum is quite updated with today's life that would help you to grab a good placement but i also do think there's room for improvement like enterpreneurship skills and industry level exposure. the exams are held every month like CAT1 ,CAT2 labfat anf FAT. CATs duration is 90 minutes and FATs are of 3 hours. CAT1 are kinda medium , questions mostly come from notes with variation and CAT2 are kinda challenging but doable and for FAT completing the whole syllabus is itself a huge achievement and its level is medium . Yeah, you are going to have a hectic schedule will only time during Techno Vit and Vibrance , you would feel college started yesterday.
Internships Opportunities
you have to work to grab a internship first companies will only shortlist 9 pointer so be a 9 pointer, still its not sure whether you will make it or not as companies take only few students , internship opportunites are less but will give you the notion of placement. each teaches asks you to make mini projects project and in final year you have to make a project that is based on real life world .
Placement Experience
Usually companies come in starting of 4th year . around 867 companies visited this year and 7600 plus offers have been offered out of ehich 3100 plus super dream offers , 3211 plus dream offers and around 1000 regular offer were offered. top companies were Microsoft,Morgan Stanley ,Amazon,PayPal,Google etc. my plan is to get placed in a very good company and get settle in life . Vit claims to have a 100% placement ratio .
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees depend on what rank or category you got in entrance exam , category 1 tuition fee - 195000 category 2 tuition fee - 304000 category 3 tuition fee - 402000 category 4 tuition fee - 445000 category 5 tuition fee - 490000 additional 3000 has to be paid as it will get refund at the end of course. scholarships are only given to those who manages to get rank under 1000.
Campus Life
till now my campus life has been a whirlwind of experiences , late night studey sessions, and moment of sheer fruestations. social scene is pretty good , there's always something happening in college . I am part of dance club, and it has been a wonderful way to meet with talented people and to learn from them. every classrooms have projects and every lab classes are fully furnished and have proper equipement .
Admission
Vit is just a side option for many students , it was never a plan to get here . I have applied for others colleges as well but i always wanted to go in the feild of Computer Science that others colleges were not providing on basis of my Jee score, also other private colleges have very high fee structure , VIT's fees are managable till Category 2 . VIT has their own entrance exam called VITEEE , on the basis of your rank you get admission to your desired course. The eligibility for VIT is student must passed class 12 with minimum 60% in physics, chemistry and maths/biology,and student must have been born on or after 2003 for 2024 batch.
Faculty
there are usually 60 - 65 students in a class with one faculty . All the faculties that i have been studied till now are good, they are kinda approachable they will provide you with all the ppts and study materials. keep it in mind to have a good bonding with the teacher as it would be helpful for your exam purpose. there is a English teacher named Akaitabh , he is very good and gives marks tto everyone but the drawback is at the end it would increase the class average and you have to score very well to get S grade. Fall and Winter semesters have CAT 1 and CAT 2 plus FAT(end sem) . CAT 2 is open book/open notebook paper , both CAT 1 and CAT2 is of 50 marks which will later converted to 15 marks weightage and FAT is of 100 marks which will be converted to 40 marks weightage and remaining 30 marks is of digital assignment. Just stick to the teachers notes or ppts to boost your marks.
Night Life
as i am a dayscholar i don't know much about gym but food of cafeterias are good especially gazebo. hostel intake is 8pm may be not sure about this campus timings are totally depends on what slots you have taken for morning slots it goes upto 4 pm for evening slot it gstarts from 2 and goes upto 7;30.
