Course Curriculum Overview

4

I chose Computer Science and Design, but as I am still in 1sem we have common subject shared among all the 1st year students, but as I looked into my 3rd sem subjects they have a few industry specific subjects for us like Game development tools .. few others.

Internships Opportunities

3

From what I got to know from my seniors we will have a paid internship in our 4th and 5th sem, from their words it's just a hustle for a certificate nothing more. And for our department we are supposed to make a project every sem and we can modify the project for the next sem or create s new project all together.

Placement Experience

3

Placement are average or below average, the average salary package is 4 lpa of less here. But if you got talent you will be provided opportunity to sit in placements of DSCE as well and grab a better package there. Most of all the students gets placed here in anyone of the companies like TCS or Infosys

Fees and Financial Aid

Fee Structure : I paid 107500 through KEA, and the college asked for 15k more saying it's for Skill Lab. It will have a total of 122500. If you have SC/ST quote and also your family income is less than 10 lpa then the fees will be around 40k to 50k per year. Even though I have SC quote, my family income is more than 10 lpa so I had to pay full fees. For management Quote the Donation is 3 lakhs and 4 lakhs for every year. I don't have clarity on. COMEDK fees. But, I heard my friends say it's twice the KEA fees so it's probably 3 lakhs per year. There are scholarship schemes here but as I ain't eligible for any, I didn't gather much info about it They collected 10k for Uniform and Exams fees last month, it was a overkill.

Campus Life

4

We have Two major Fests here one is AntarAgni which is a inter-department fest and Experenza which is a college annual fest. Both fests will be celebrated grandly and will provide enough opportunities to showcase their talents And there are many clubs present in the, like dancing club, signing club, media club, debate club, art club, fashion club, and gaming club. And each clubs will usually conduct an event or competition every month or two

Admission

I also applied for RNSIT, CMRIT, JSSATE, Reva. Among these I got Reva and JSSATE, but I chose this college as it also part of Dayanand Sagar institutions and it will help me during my placements, and it also a Autonomous institution

Faculty

4

I don't know the exact student to teacher ratio, but I think it's on the good side. Faculty are Okish, the seniors faculty are good but the junior faculty don't even care much about teaching. There will be 2 IA's and a final external sem exams will be there for first sem. And each subject will have 2 CCAs. We will be writing the IA for 50 marks each and CCAs are also of 50 marks, and a Lab external for 50 marks. All of these marks above will be down converted into a total of 50 marks and the remaining 50 marks will be down converted from a 100 mark sem exam, both making a total of 100 which will be used to calculate our CGPA 1st sem course are somewhat moderately relevant

Night Life

3

There is a gym inside the college campus, and it's free to use and it is well maintained and seniors are very beginner friendly, and they also have a badminton court. Cafeteria and library will stay open till 7 30 pm, and cafeteria doesn't have nice food, but library is maintained well enough. From what I know the curfew for boys at hostel start from 9 pm and for girls it's probably 7 or 6 pm.

Placement Experience:

Placements at RNS Institute of Technology are good. Students become eligible for campus placements from the 6th or 7th semester. Many companies visit the college, including IT and core companies. Some of the common recruiters include TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Accenture, and a few core companies for EEE. The average package is around 3 to 5 LPA, and higher packages are also offered for top-performing students. The highest package can go much higher depending on the company. Around 70–80% of students get placed, mainly in IT roles. For EEE students, core placements are limited, but there are good opportunities in software roles. The college also provides training and support for placements. After completing my degree, I plan to get placed in a good company and build my career.

Most of the students get placed from the campus placements. Students get eligible for campus placements from the fifth semester. Companies like HP, Infosys, Wipro come for recruiting and make offers from 3L per annum to 30 L per annum. Around 70 percent of the students get placed through campus placement. I plan on working for a dream company after completing my degree.

Placement Experience:

I applied to colleges like BMSIT and Sir MVIT, and I had confirmed seats there, too. I chose RNSIT because it has a better reputation for placements in my branch and the campus environment felt more welcoming. I didn't get into RVCE because my KCET rank wasn't high enough for their top branches, as the competition was very tough that year. The admission process is simple. They mainly take students through KCET and COMEDK. You need at least 45% in your 12th boards (PCM). Most students prefer KCET because the fees are lower. Once the seat is allotted through counseling, you just visit the campus, submit your documents, and pay the fees. The whole process was quite smooth and well-organized."

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is very unique, and very new, we are not taught irrelevant subjects and topics like every university does, Polaris school of technology (PST) is a new gen college which mainly focuses on tech, producing the best engineers not amongst india but amongst the world, it's aim is to produce engineers who are better than IITians and MITians, all these specifications influenced me to choose this course/curriculum When it comes to real-world applications, Polaris school of technology(PST) gives us real-life problems and scenario based projects through evaluations which help us in the future and helps us to build a proper approach for problems and train us to be the best. We have two main exams per sem which would be conducted every 3 months that is ½th of the sem, we have a total of 8 sems, so total 16 exams, our exams would be difficult for other college students, but not for us as we have the best mentors.
