Course Curriculum Overview

4

Actually I choosed this course because I don't have clear idea about what to do I thought I can either do mba or others professional course like ca or cs and any other competitive exams and the suggestion for the improvement in the course will be if they give more real life scenarios and training it will be useful and teaching method is not bad so the after one month cia 1 and 2 will be conducted and then mid sem will be conducted after mid sem two months after End sem will be conducted and the exams are little tricky and twisted but if one understand the concept we can pass easily and they provide internship in the 2nd and 3rd year which helps us to get the job easily

Internships Opportunities

4

I think we should search for internship they don't provide internship opportunity and I have seen 3rd year students doing intership after college which is compulsory for degree completion and iam in the first year I don't know about more

Placement Experience

4

Yes my college offer placements and the students are eligible for placement from 3 rd year that is final year and the company like infosys and big 4 have visited and one my sir said only one student got placement and she got a really good package and the percentage of students getting placement I think so it is less it depends upon the skills of students and my plan after completing the degree is to do mba or so ca

Fees and Financial Aid

I paid 108500 rs fees and in 2 installation we have for non karnataka extra 10000 fees is there for karnataka students the fees is only 90000 and it is paid in 3 installment and they send us scholorship notice and the no of scholorships available outside for bio tech they will be paying 3 lakhs yearly like wise for bcom with acca students

Campus Life

4

And there will be lot of flash mob held in my college and every festival they celebrate and it is run by student council and will be having dj and music atleast 2 times in a year and there are lot and lot of association run of students and there are ncc and nss in which we can join and earn credit and there will be sports practice daily students who are interested in sports can go for sports and claim attendance and in the library there are lot of books available they have research books news paper and digital library and rare collection also they have

Hostel Facilities

4

Actually we don't have girls hostel in the college iam staying in pg which the menu looks good but no the food the one thing I hate the most in Bangalore pg is food which is horrible and the provide non veg 6 times a day every pg has heater hot water available but not in my pg sneha nilaya other pgs have washing machine heater bur not in my pg and there are many PG for girls around the surrounding

Admission

I applied only for 2 college that is for st Joseph's University Bangalore and vit vellore i prefered st Joseph's University Bangalore because it is near my home town and the college hours is for only 3 hrs so I choosed this college without any hesitation and I didn't choose vit vellore because it is far away from my home town and the college hours will be like school .the admission process in St Joseph University Bangalore is they short listed the students based on merit and we had personal interview and they asked questions related to commerce and I finally selected in St Joseph University Bangalore and in the next two days I had personal interview for vit vellore which I little messed up because the asked the current affairs and news but I got an mail from the college but I paid my fees for st Joseph's University at that time so I choosed this college

Faculty

4

Actually I think so there are enough staffs for the students to teach and they staffs are really approachable and they are friendly with students and they tell their stories also to us and the best faculty is I think so ifs sir because he has lot of knowledge and teaches us apart from the portion life lessons and he has done many research which he shares with us which is really very helpful the staff i didn't like is ifs mam because she teaches very boringly which makes us feel sleepy and the exam pattern is they will conduct cia 1 and 2 each ten marks and mid sem it is 20 marks and the end sem is for 60 marks if I have taken in cia 1 and 2 and in mid sem 35 marks if I take 5 marks in end sem I will be passed so it is easy for us to pass

Interview Experience

4

They asked which subject am comfortable with i choosed accounts and they asked the question related to accounts which I studied in 11 th an 12 th if we pass in personal interview we are selected for college and I didn't prepared for interview

Night Life

4

And the college ends for first batch at 10 or 11 so some groups go to canteen and eat and have fun some sit and chit chat and there are lot of hotels near the surrounding and there is gym very near my college and lots of street food are available in the surrounding and the hostel timings are 6 00 is the curfew time and the famous hangout spot will be church street and commercial Street jai nagar and it is safe for boys in the night but I don't know about girls safety

The placement cell in my college is okay they do get few good companies for campus recruitment and they guide us thoroughly how and when we should apply for placement they do conduct some sessions and bring people to guide us with everything. The percentage of students getting placement is 50 or 60 percentage. My plan after degree is to continue pursuing acca and then finding a job abroad

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements from the 5th semester. Our college has a dedicated placement department that really guides and supports us through the whole process. Big companies like Deloitte and KPMG visit the campus every year, and since I’m doing B.Com + ACCA, there are plenty of great opportunities in finance and accounting. Last year, around 8 students from the B.Com batch got placed in finance roles. The average package was about ?6 LPA. The best part is that placements keep getting better every year, and the college has maintained a 100% placement record. They’ve even tied up with foreign companies, which opens up more global opportunities for us. After completing my degree, I plan to build a strong career in finance—hopefully starting with a reputed company like Deloitte or KPMG—and later explore opportunities abroad.

Placement Experience:

The college offers placement through the COC (Career Opportunities) cell. Students become eligible for placements by the 5th Semester. The companies which come to hire include the Big 4s, (KPMG, Delloite, EY and BCG), Fedral Bank,TCS, etc. Almost 70% of students opt for higher eduaction so the less number of students get placed at the UG level at least. I am personally figuring out which path to choose but I have placement in mind at the end of the degree.

Course Curriculum Overview:

My specific aspect of the curriculum that influenced my decision to choose the course is the ACCA along with Bcom. Most importantly the 9 paper exemptions provided that gives flexibility in the context of studying. The curriculum is well corporate and real world oriented. They prepare us on how to face the real corporate world through their curriculum by conducting different seminars and workshops.
