VIT Bhopal, an Honest Review

The curriculum is almost the same as that of B.tech students. Btech student shave to complete 180 credits over a span of 4 years and we have to complete 220 credits over the span of 5 years. No doubt that the curriculum is well paced and well designed as per industry rules and regulations. Improvement lies nowhere, just if the behaviour of same faculty members is improved then the life is set. As discussed earlier, exams are conducted twice a semester, mid terms and the term end. Level is easy to moderate. Every class notes are digital and are provided by the faculty via teams or google classroom. No need to make notes in the class until and unless you prefer you own hand written notes.

All the companies which visit the campus, selects the student for the internship only and later it is converted to full time role. Note: Dream Companies = Packages < 10 LPA Super Dream Companies = Packages > 10 LPA Last year companies visited are which offered super dream are: Amazon, Audi, HSBC, Tower Research Capital, Microsoft Companies with Dream Packages which visited last year: Cognizant, TCS, Tech Mahindra Projects are suggested by faculty members only which are unique and impact the real world population.

Yes there is PAT (Placement Assistance Team) in our college but due to recession, companies are not visiting as expected. Recently Swiggy offered a super dream package to one of my seniors. Cognizant also offered dream packages. Highest package of last year was around 60LPA from a Japanese company. Average package stood at 8LPA. 90% students who appears in placements are placed. My plan is to grab a super dream offer.

I am a 3rd year student and here is the fees breakdown: Academic: 1st Year: 99k 2nd Year: 98k 3rd Year: 98k Remember that my course's fees is less than B.tech. They are having academic fees more than us. Also the above mentioned fees of of category 1.

Every year in the month of feb, our annual fest takes place that is AdVITya. Many events are celebrated, games are played also there are multiple performances. Library is available from Monday to Sunday during office hours. Every classroom is well equipped with projectors, lights, fans, chairs, tables. In terms of sports, many sports events are also there which takes place. Overall there is a satisfactory campus life. There is music room also.

Vit have several room types which include 2,3,4,6 and 8 bedded including ac and non-ac, bunk and flat, premium and non premium hostels. Most common room type if 4 NAC Bunk, the fees is 129000 Rs for 10 months including mess charges. Mess food of non premium hostel is poor but the food of premium hostels is satisfactory. Everyday 4 meals are served including breakfast, lunch, snacks and dinner. Daily there is different menu. Room type is based on CGPA, for flat bedded more cgpa is required and for bunk bed, normal cgpa is required. Hostels are affordable if you opt for 4 NAC Bunk. since this is the only type in which I personally feel that the fees is legitimate.

I have applied to VIT Vellore campus only. I did not get selected t here since my rank was too high for that campus also I was in search of an integrated course which was (at that time) available at bhopal campus only. Admission process for B.tech Students: 1. Register for VITEEE Exam. 2. Clear it 3. Based on you rank, you are provided the fee structure and the campus. Eligibility is minimum 65% in 12th (PCM).

Each class is of around 50-70 students, varying from class size to size. Faculty-to-student relationship is a must on which VIT should be focusing. The faculties which are helpful to children (which I have crossed paths with) are: 1. Dr. Shweta Mukherjee 2. Dr. Rahul Kumar Chaturvedi Unfortunately, I don't want to name the faculties whom I dislike, but the reason I dislike them are: 1. Rude towards north students. 2. Very unprofessional behaviour. 3. Strict for no reason at all. 4. If any problem occurs then they leave instead of helping. Exams are conducted twice a sem, mid term and the term end exams. Mid term is of 50 marks and the term end is of 100 marks. The level is easy to moderate (if set by the faculty who cares about students), else extremely hard (if set by the faculty who hates students).

There is no nightlife inside the campus. Hostels are shut at 9PM Sharp. Gym is there in 2 hostels, there are multiple good cafeterias, library is also good with i guess thousands of books. Campus is closed at 7.30 PM and hostels are closed at 9 PM.
