All about CGC landran

I have chosen this course as i have to do B.tech as i was interested in Computer and want to learn more in this feild. Improvement can be done if the college management make sure the labs are more in the schedule than theory lectures. The Mid semesters exams are 2 times Mid semester 1 are after 1 and half month of semester start and 2nd mid sem is when the semester is about to end and afterwards final exams the time is somehow less as per syllabus.

Students are eligible for placements drives in their 3rd year. The companies visiting here are Microsoft , IBM but mainly TCS and Infosys. The highest package offerd here is 55 lpa and where average package is 5 to 6 lpa. The placement rate is not so good in this college. The placement percentage is only about 40 to 45%

The fee I'm paying is approximately 137000 per year and the college management increase the fee every year by 5 k to 6k or sometimes by 20k in this fee structure the tuition fee is added and some charges are included in fee for the college fest and events this is the fee structure for students who are admitted by direct management and for those who are admitted by counselling there tuition fee is approximately 20k to 25 k and the fee is reduced for those who apply government scholarship schemes.

There is an annual fest held in October month named Parivartan which is a big event in college where many other college students are invited too and there are some small events too. In this college events are going on one after another. The library is maintained good there are many books related for course and other than courses too. There are sport ground too but the amount for activities offered and not much

Facilities provided in hostels are food, wifi, Gym and laundry services and warm water for drinking in hostel mess. The food quality is not so bad and also not so good sometimes it's good sometimes it's worst. The registration process for hostel is simple just by filling a form. The hostel price is somehow expensive it's 130000 per year

I got admission in Chandigarh University, Mohali in Bachelors of engineering in Computer science but i didn't took admission there as the course fee in CU is much higher as compared CGC landran and in CU the placement to student intake ratio is not so good. The admission process in CGC landran is not much there is a direct admission in the college in which they didn't ask for any exam but some students come here by counselling from Punjab technical University (Jalandhar). In counselling the 12th boards numbers are taken and admission is given accordingly.

Two classes are alloted for one teacher for a particular subject. Some teachers are so best in their feild and very cooperative for students but some teachers are not so good they aren't cooperative and are not even punctual and they aren't able to teach good there are 2 mid semester and 1 final exams in a year there is 60 marks theory exam and 40 marks internal . Mid semester are of 24 marks and that 24 are added in the internal like average of both mid semesters and 10 marks for 2 assignments and 6 marks for attendance and there is 60 marks theory exam which is not so easy and not so difficult

For hostel students the there is timing to roam in college campus at night. Girls who are taking hostels they can roam in college upto 7:30 pm in college afterwards the strict actions are taken against them and for boys there is upto 11 pm and day scholars can roam upto 6 o clock in college. The famous places in college is ashiq chowk other than that there is no famous place and there is no night life in hostel
