I applied to DU and got selected as well but then I realised that it's the marks that matters and not the college in these degrees & also it's near my home so it will save lots of time and money to go here instead of overrated colleges and waste time. Choosing my college over others was a blend of practicality, personal preference, and what felt like the best fit academically and socially. I had a few options, each with unique strengths, but ultimately my decision came down to a few main factors. First, the academic reputation of my college was one of the deciding factors. It’s known for having strong programs in my area of interest, with professors who are both experienced and engaging. Some of the other colleges I applied to were highly ranked as well, but my current college seemed to have a more balanced approach. It wasn’t overly intense in one specific area, which I appreciated since I wanted a well-rounded experience. Next was campus culture. When I visited, I found the atmosphere welcoming and supportive, which felt different from some other places. Some of the other colleges had a more competitive vibe that felt a bit intimidating. My college also had a good balance between academic and social life. Students here seemed serious about their studies but still found time for other activities, which was important to me. In terms of location, my college was more convenient for me. It’s close enough to home that I can visit family if needed, but far enough to give me a sense of independence. The other colleges were farther away, and moving there would have been a bigger lifestyle adjustment. Now, if I talk about why I didn't make it into a few of the other colleges, it mostly came down to high competition and the admission criteria.
