It’s known for having strong programs in my area of interest, with professors who are both experienced and engaging. Some of the other colleges I applied to were highly ranked as well, but my current college seemed to have a more balanced approach. It wasn’t overly intense in one specific area, which I appreciated since I wanted a well-rounded experience. Next was campus culture. When I visited, I found the atmosphere welcoming and supportive, which felt different from some other places. Some of the other colleges had a more competitive vibe that felt a bit intimidating. My college also had a good balance between academic and social life. Students here seemed serious about their studies but still found time for other activities, which was important to me. In terms of location, my college was more convenient for me. It’s close enough to home that I can visit family if needed, but far enough to give me a sense of independence.
