Course Curriculum Overview

3

Course curriculum is very relevant. As this is a new course the curriculum is newly made and it has greater effect in the present environment. Exams will come in almost every month. There are two internal exams and one finals. The exams will vary for labs. Some lab will only have finals while others will have internals same like theory courses.

Internships Opportunities

3

There are several internship opportunities for the students who are hardworking. Many of the students will get placements and internships also. Internships are not easy to get but they will provide as much as they can.

Placement Experience

2

From the seventh semester (for btech) campus placements will start and from 9th semester (for int MSc ) campus placements will start. For my course as of now there is no campus placements as the pilot batch is of 2021 and they are now in their fourth year (eighth semester only) My plan is to do a start up

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees for my course is seventy five thousand along with two thousand caution fees in the first year. The tuition fees is same throughout the five years. There are no external fees other than this Eg:No lab fees or any other type of fees

Campus Life

2

There are mainly two big events that takes place in this university . One is the tech fest namely gravitas, which is mostly held on September or October. The other one is the cultural fest namely riviera which is mostly held on the month of February. All the classrooms are smart classrooms which will have a projector. Most of the classes are taken by displaying ppts only.

Hostel Facilities

3

Hostels are classified into several basis which include ac/ non ac or according to the number of beds while the maximum sharing is six and minimum is one. The room will have a bunker or a normal bed. Bunkers are there mainly in six sharing rooms. In the room each will have a chair, table and a cupboard. The room will mostly be cunjusted. Hostel registration is based on the cgpa for all the students except freshers. Hostel food is not so good and not so bad. Sometimes the food will also be very bad.

Admission

For the degree that I'm pursuing, I think VIT is a good option as many of the major colleges doesn't have this course. The admission procedure is very easy, as all of them is through online only. VIT have an entrance exam called VITEEE, through which only the selection of btech students will takes place. Also money is a way to get admission here.

Faculty

2

There are totally three exams in a semester which includes two internals and one finals. Many faculties are blacklisted for their rude behaviour. Many good faculties are also there. Some faculties are approachable and some are not. I like the way of teaching of Rahul (professor of food technology) but his behaviour is bad.

Night Life

1

There is no nightlife around the campus. This is mainly because of the in time for students. The in time for girls into the college is seven pm and for boys is eight pm. The in time to the hostels for girls is eight thirty and for boys is nine pm. Most of the facilities will close around nine in the night. Main hangout spot inside the campus is called Foodys. I think the locality is safe to roam around. Outside the campus there are several restaurants and cafés to hangout. One of the main restaurant is Zaitoon. Also there INOX theatre nearby the college.

The curriculum covers industry-relevant topics and practical skills, helping in real-world jobs and higher studies. Regular exams test understanding, but more hands-on projects and updated content would improve learning. Teaching could be more interactive for better clarity.
