Likes

The clubs present in the college like ummed club is my favourite club
The classroom is very neat and clean and it is very big and size so it is comfortable
The faculty sir very nice they are very helpful

Dislikes

The lab is not so good we need improvement.
Food quality must be good it is not so good.
Environmental show polluted because of gas plants present near the college

Course Curriculum Overview

Course is very old we need advancement in the course and the examination frequency is very less we need more hard papers for the development of skills. The question paper level is so low we need tough level exam in the college.

Placement Experience

Placement is very average the average package is 400000 we need more companies to come in our college so lot of talented students get into different companies big companies like Microsoft Google. And the skills of student must not be wasted

Fees and Financial Aid

The college Fiji 68000 the hostel fees is 45000 for girls and 46000 for boys the exam registration fees for event semester is 1700 and what semester examination registration fees is 3700. The fees for tfw category is 28000.

Campus Life

There are technical fest between February and March we have our horizon that is the techvest of our college and to have techfest for different branches like our computer science engineering branches technovation.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel facilities quite good we get room which is very specioud and comfortable the canteen food is not good we need good food quality we get health issues after eating that food. And there is Wi-Fi connection in every room of the hostel which is very helpful

Hostel Fee: INR 45000 per year

Admission

I choose NIT Rourkela before this college as my rank was not so good in the JEE main examination so I will not get to NIT Rourkela and I get into IGIT. I choose computer science engineering branch because it is very demanding in the industry

Faculty

Faculty ratio is very less. The permanent staff se required for the college is very less we need more permanent steps for experience purposes. But the faculty who are present in the college are very helpful

Night Life

Nightlife is not so good because of the restriction towards girls after 8:00 p.m. due to the less safety and security but there are two canteens present in our college that is old canteen under food court

The excellent university of odisha

Placement Experience:

From 6th sem of completion eligible to sit in placement called by campus placement in university. Companies like accenture, techmahindra,tech bee,and wipro comes for hiring. Highest package till now is 29 lpa and lowest is 1.5 lpa. Average package is 5lpa. Mostly 80 percentage of students getting placement from campus drive. My plan after getting degree is getting job from campus drive.

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for placement from their 3rd year onwards. It has been only 2-3 months but I have seen several companies arriving at the college, prominent ones being Flipkar,Deloitte, Xerox, TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Microsoft, Dell and several others including startups. There is no accurate data on how many offers have been made this year, but there are rumours that more than 95% of the eligible students have got placements. After getting a degree my plans are if I dont land into a satisfying job then I will start my preparation of the military or start a new business.

Students become eligible for placements from the third year itself. In this placement season more than 90 percent of the eligible students got placed in several companies. The highest and average are yet not known. Several companies visited the campus with prominent ones being Microsoft, Dell, Xerox, Flipkart and more including several startups. Indira Gandhi Institute of Technology is a government college but provides much more facilities like private colleges.

In odisha we have a specific counselling procees named as OJEE counselling. In this we have to apply for many colleges as we want. I chose this college for this particular branch . Electrical engineering is a very respected branch in our college as many industries are built near this area which take students from campus selections.
