AMU was amazing!!

I was always good at maths and therefore choosing Maths Hons was inevitable for me. I think our course and teaching was next level of not God level. Our exams are so well organised that a year was under Covid influence but still our faculties negated that so well, that students didnt get any freebies but had to earn every bit.

Many companies from TCS, Tech Mahindra and the likes of Wipro and many others were there. Placements honestly aren't that great as placements percentage too was in the region of 50. I got placements though and I even did a job for a year before applying for MCA which I am pursuing currently.

It looks like we are studying here for no fees as just 10 brands for BSC (Mathematics) which is a sophisticated course. Yes, government universities charges less but AMU is among one of the biggest government universities which is laced with facilities and everything the fees is more than affordable.

Not just Eid of Muslim festivals but every single festival of every religion, the campus was decorated with lightings. The annual fest was celebrated in the name of Sir Syed Day and a complete feast was organized at the campus.

Hostels are like endless as students are many and so are the hostels here. Almost 20+ hostels are there and nearly 2500 boys lives in hostels here. Food was good as mess secretary were appointed every now and then and the control was entirely in students hands.

At AMU seats are fewer and number of students filling the forms are enormous. Hence, the cut-off is always tol high and for BSC in any stream a minimum cut-off is over 80%. In my time it was 83 for Maths Hons and I guess, I was lucky enough to get it.

Our faculties who were there like I passed out three years ago and all have still sticked with teaching there. They were there since early 2000s means once who come here stay there for long. Pir faculties too have repaid that faith by producing students who have done remarkably well after passing under their guidance.

Our 1155 acres campus is surrounded with greenery and many state of the art gardens. Aligarhs famous Jama Masjid is close to our campus and for food savoury we have Lemon Tree Hotel. Mostly it's the religious and sacred sites close to our campus.
