Course Curriculum Overview

5

The curriculum at DTU allows students to take different subject for minors starting in the 3rd year, which provides some flexibility in learning However the syllabus has limited focus on technical aspects which is one of the reason why i choose this branch. there is room for improvement in the teaching methods to make the learning experience more practical and engaging and frequency of exam could be depending on the elective chosen . at times the schedule can be 2-3 exam in a single days.

Internships Opportunities

5

There are numerous companies visiting the campus offering a variety of roles. for tech role such as software engineer , companies like atlassian (89LPA), amazon (30LPA), and uber (35lpa) stand out for non-tech role like data analyst and data science , marketing companies like bain and comapany(14 lpa) while core companies do visit but in fewer number

Placement Experience

5

Student become eligible for internship starting n the 3rd year when companies begin visiting the campus. however for lower branches like mine[biotech] internship opportunities are almost non-existent unless you secure one off-campus through your own-efforts. For placement in the 4th year, around 300+ companies visit annually the highest often reaches close to 1 cr , but for lower branches CGPA plays a crucial role, The higher your CGPA the better your chances of securing placement. In my branch biotech, out of 75 student, only about 30 get placed. highest package 30LPA and average is approx 10LPA.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure is quite high, with INR 2,18,000 for the first year ,INR 2,28,000 for the second year,INR 2,36,000 for the third and INR 2,45,000 for the fourth yr. The fees is increasing INR 10k every next year Student from general category could not apply on any scholarship and does not get any but student from reserved categories can apply for various scholarship ,with SC and ST student often recieving up to 90% coverage. These scholarship involve a thorough background check and an interview process to ensure eligibility.

Campus Life

5

There are numerous events throughout the year, including tevh focused events, hackathons, and cultral fests like engifest , along with many more opportunites for engagement. The college alse provide a library equipped with wifi and a good collection of books related to various subjects. For sport enthusiasts there are dedicated ground and facilites as well as opportunites for extracurricular activites. the clubs host several event for building confidence , engaging in social work, and fostering valuable connection among students

Admission

I chose DTU over other options like NSUT's lower branch or IP collegs tech branches. I avoided IP college because it lacks good placement opportunites and a learning focused crowd. A for Nsut it was too far from my home maing it less convenient for me. I don't regret my decision to join DTU but it important for prospective student to know that lower branches are often overlooked during placement OUT of 250 companies visiting the campus , nearly 100 might not allow lower branch student to participate in their recruitment drive

Faculty

5

Faculty and academics: Good faculty overalll: the faculty at DTU is competent, and I've never felt that there was a shortage of teaching staff ratio PHD student as Instructors: A notable observation is that most classes are taught by PHD student rather than professor mostly. Easy Exam: The examination system is quite manageable. with just 1-2 days of focused preparation, its possible yo score an 8 CGPA or higher

Night Life

5

The campus boasts several cafeteria , including popular optiion like dominos , providing a variety of food choices. Additionally there is a gym and a park within the premises offering spaces for fitness and relaxation. for recreation outside the campus the nearby area include metrowalk and several other spot for fun and entertainment making it easy for student to unwind after classes

Placement Experience:

NSUT is known for its placement attracting highest package of above 1 crore and average package of about 17 crore. However, placements her also got a hit due to recession and COVID-19. On campus Internship is also provided here. People are eligible for on-campus internship in 3rd year while they can do internship of their own choice in 1st & 2nd year as well. Students of 4th year are allowed to sit for on-campus placements. Tech companies like Microsoft, Google, Adobe visit the college on regular basis. Non-tech companies like Bain, mckinsey are also seen during placement season. Core companies visit here as well. I am still exploring if I should opt for tech or non-tech.

IITD is pretty well known for its placement opportunuties. The average package in the CSED department may be around 35-40 lakh per annum and the highest package may shoot us as high as Rs 4 crore per annum. The companies include Jane Street, Microsoft, amazon, google and other well known tech giants and core companies from Indian and abroad. I plan to settle in a well paying job and later go in the line of entrepreneurship after gettingg my degtree. Almost 80 percent of the students are placed in my college. The students are eligible for the campus placements from the 4th semester onwards.

Students generally get placements in the 4th year but can get pre placement offer in the 2nd or 3 year if they are extra ordinary in that field. Tata, zomato, hundai, swiggy, google, Microsoft etc big companies come for placements in our college. The avg offers made are around 20-22 lakhs for mechanical engineering and the highest ever for mechanical is 55 lakhs last year. 90 percent student gets placement but those 10 percent are those students who want to do start up or want to pursue higher studies. My plan is to do a Start up after degree
