PSG ITECH - the right place for good placements

On the whole it is a decent college to study with a reasonably good faculty. The placements are top notch and the placement support is good as well but they don’t encourage extra curricular activities and hence that’s a major drawback.

The course curriculum is a bit behind as it comes under Anna University. The standard is good but not excellent. The exams are conducted by the Anna University and the evaluation of answers scripts are below par.

The placement is very good, in fact one on the best in Tamilnadu excluding the IITs. The provide good coaching for placements and guide the students accordingly and also the placement cell does a good job in inviting new companies.

We celebrate a culturals program called adhvaya where our students participate in all cultural events like dance, singing, mime etc. we also have a sports day where we award the best sports personalities of the Institute. We also have an annual day where we award the proficiency holders.

The fee structure is feasible when compared to the other institutions. They charge tuition fees, special fee and miscellaneous fees as well. The merit students pay lesser compared to the management quota students.

The college offers need based scholarships to the students after assessing the performance of the student. Apart from that the college doesn’t provide any loan or any other scholarship. The students have to take a educational loan from the bank if required.

The labs are well equipped and good but there is no research facility as the college is a new one. The college does not encourage extracurricular activities and sports.But, they do have a huge ground with football field, handball court, basketball court, tennis court and an indoor shuttle court.

They is only one set of passed out students and so the alumni network is not so strong. The senior students are always helpful by donating books and teaching a few topics useful for clearing the placements.

I got an admission through an entrance test conducted by the college itself. The courses can be selected based on the score in the entrance test. After the test they give you a rank list and based on your rank, you are allowed to select your course.

The faculty are good, strictly speaking they are mostly new recruits and are caring except for a few who are substandard. The principal and the vice principal are experienced and the HODs as well are doing a good job guiding the faculty and constantly get feedback from students.
