Course Curriculum Overview
The travel and tourism field motivated me to choose this B.Com Travel and Tourism course as the tourism sector is a booming industry. The curriculum prepares the students exactly according to the world applications. I personally feel maths could have been avoided as it doesn't create much of an impact for the course I have choosen.
Fees and Financial Aid
I had paid an amount of 109000 for the B.Com Travel and Tourism course. As per the SJCC college management i had paid a total amount of 109000 which included admission fees, registration fees etc. My friend who studies in B.Com International Finance had paid fees of more than 115000. There are two types of scholarships available in Sjcc. One is the Management Scholarship and the other is the OSA scholarship. The scholarship is given based on the family background of students.
Campus Life
There are various fests that happens in our college in both cultural aspects and business aspects. Some are Kalotsav, Dhwani, Spiel, Cipher, Chanakya etc. Sjcc library provides a wide number of books from fictional but most are educational books. There are more than 45 social clubs which creates a significant impact on student's life.
Admission
I had applied in Kristu Jayanti College for the course B.Com ( Logistics and Supply Chain Management) and I got a confirmed seat in that but I chose Sjcc over kjc because I felt SJCC was a better option for me to pursue my undergraduate course and I was also more interested in the Travel sector than the logistics sector. Usually the admission process happens with an entrance test and an interview but for the course I chose I only had an interview to pass.
Faculty
The faculty to student relationship is appreciated as they are very supportive to all the students. From the time I joined the college I personally did not have any faculty members whom I dislike. They are two exams per semester. One is the mid semester exams and the other one is the end semester exams. For me the exams were quite easy but there were a solid number of people who failed to clear the exams.
Night Life
There are various hangout spots around the SJCC campus. From restaurants to tea stalls, all are available around the campus. My favourite spot is the chettas shop next to our college where me and my friends often go for tea.
