Course Curriculum Overview

5

Quite a relevant curriculum but first semester of BALS has english as a subject which has poems and stories so you will be taken back to your school days. Torts was a relevant subject as legal field is concerned,WLS was just history of law and different legal syshems around the world and then logic also taught some relevant legal tools.Political challenges you

Internships Opportunities

5

Ocs provides internship opportunities on which you can register and avail it. Internship for bals is 4 times out of 6 sems. The person has to prepare an Internship report at the end and submit it to ocs stating what has the student learned from the internship, his experience and so on

Placement Experience

3

There are no placements for bals but other streams have placement which can set you up decently ,with quite a few students getting placements.Dont expect a placement with BALS degree, you won't get it.LLB courses offer placement though

Fees and Financial Aid

229000 is tuition fees for 1 semester,175000 is hostel and accomodation fees. These fees have to be paid at the end of every semester. Some batchmates who had a scholarship had lesser tuition fees like 190000 and even below than that.Scholarships are available if a good JSAT score is obtained with even 75% scholarship available

Campus Life

5

Many fests are organised like biswamil and so on in which celeb singers are called to perform,we had Mohit Chauhan this year. Many sports meet also take place . Library is a vast one with relevant books and journals available for all courses, especially law.classrooms are nice with centrally air conditioning and smart classes with semicircular seating arrangement to get a better view of the front .Tou can joinany social clubs like entrepreneur,AWS and so on according to your hobbies and Interests

Hostel Facilities

5

Hostel faculty is nice with rooms being provided with ac facilities and independent washroom in every room.you can have maximum of 3 people staying in the roomamd any issue In the rolm is fixed by the hostel services almost instantly. You can also available free cleaning services by just booking a ticket on the app,and also give laundry .good provided is hygienic and with variety and taste .You are registered automatically. No one is allowed to stay outside campus

Admission

I was in a totally different field and applied in this college at theast moment after switching careers .My father advised me that this is the best law uni in india and if I want to go in this field ,it's the best place for me. I gave an LSAT examination and was enrolled in the college after completing formalities. This was the first college I applied to so no rejection faced

Faculty

5

50 student to 1 faculty.Facultu can always be contacted in the FOB with regards to doubt solving or other issues, generally very approachable and amiable and will readily help the student out. Personally didn't like Prof Jadumani teaching legal studies as he solely refers to the book while teaching. There are internal exams ,mid sems for some subjects and end sem for all subjects

Night Life

5

Nightlife is vibrant with many student roaming around the campus and eating g joints open till 2 in the morning and the gym being available till 1 in the morning. No prohibition on roaming around at any time of the hour.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Specific Aspects That Influenced the Decision For students choosing a professional or certificate course, the curriculum usually becomes the deciding factor based on three key pillars: Job-Oriented Specific Skills: The primary influence is the curriculum's direct focus on market-based, job-ready skills (e.g., Python, Data Science, Digital Marketing tools). Unlike a traditional degree, the appeal is that every module must be immediately applicable to a job. Portfolio Development: Students are heavily influenced by modules that are project-based or require them to build a portfolio (like a website, a code repository, or a marketing plan). The curriculum must be designed to result in tangible work that can be shown to employers. Industry Certification Alignment: If the course prepares students for an external, recognized industry certificate (like CCNA, MCP, or Google/Meta certificates), the curriculum's strict adherence to that certification standard is a major influence. 2. Preparation for Real-World Applications The curriculum of a successful short-term course is designed to excel specifically in preparing students for real-world applications. Curriculum Improvements Mandatory Soft Skills Integration: While technical skills are a focus, the curriculum should mandate dedicated modules on non-technical, yet critical, job skills like: Professional Communication and Email Etiquette Team Collaboration and Project Management (Agile/Scrum basics) Interview Preparation and Mock Interviews Industry Feedback Loop: Establish a more frequent and formal system to update the curriculum based on current industry demands, possibly involving an advisory board of employers or recent alumni.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is highly relevant and comprehensive, according to me. The core courses that are mandatory for a student to take are highly relevant and necessary in order to develop the relevant skills and knowledge in that specific domain of the field. Electives on the other hand, are a student's choices and may or may not be relevant directly to the course one is studying. The university offers a wide range of electives and the electives are also taught by highly qualified professors across the 12 different schools of JGU. The end semester exams are either of 30 marks or 50 marks, depending on the course. Electives usually have a 30-mark end-of-semester exam for 1.5 hours. The exams are pretty easy and theoretical and contextual, unless the course one has chosen is strictly application-based and demands applications of theoretical frameworks. The core exams in the first and second year are divided across 50 and 30 mark exams and are often for 3 hours. The exams are pretty easy and theoretical except for the practicum courses, which are deeply application-based. The final year has very few core courses which are for 30 marks.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I was influenced because I wanted to study more about how a person makes decisions, form perception and how a person's mind works . The curriculum prepares us for real world as we study about different aspects of psychology. The curriculum can be improved a little by adding a elective course in which we can get a little experience and arranging trips . The exams are not too difficult or too easy , just in perfect depth of the subject.
