Course Curriculum Overview

The lab and the department should be improved but our faculties are highly educated MTech from the IITs and NITS and the frequency time of the exam is good and provides sufficient amount of time for study at least 5 months

Placement Experience

In the 7th semester students are eligible for the placement. The number of companies visited to our college is argusoft,Infosys,TCS etc the average students are getting placements is only 30 percentage.higest package is eight lakhs and avarage is 4lakhs

Fees and Financial Aid

The amount of the Cse course is seventy three thousand per year and the hostel fees is forty three thousand. Development fees is five thousand and the regestration fees is aprox two thousand rupees per semester

Campus Life

The name of the annual function is aarohan and our college organise annual athletic meet every year and our there are different different branch function for different branch. Our college support every game and clubs such as coding club , robotics club,sole club etc

Hostel Facilities

The facilities are provided in our college is in our hostel are all time electricity and sufficient water supply the meals are provided such as chicken curry, chicken mughlei, mutton curry,biriyani, paneer mash room etc

Admission

Yes I applied to other college is National institute of technology Rourkela but due to low rank I got Igit college. The admission process of our college is in the basis of the ranking of jee mains exam

Faculty

The faculties and student ratio is one :ten . The faculties are good and highly educated the name of the faculties I like the most is Saroj ananda Mishra and Sasmita Mishra but I like dislike the most is our Hod sir

Interview Experience

Yes I face group discussion with my friends about the choose the college the process of criteria of admission is on the basis of jee mains ranking I didn't sit in interview. The topics of gd is how to get a good college

Night Life

The college consist of two cafeteria a gym a playground a library. The girls hostel are closed in 8 pm and and boys hostels are closed at 11pm . Tere are a local visiting place such as Ananta's Ayan and Dadaraghati dam

Course Curriculum Overview:

1. Relevance & Comprehensiveness (Rating: 7/10) The course curriculum at SOA is updated frequently compared to state government colleges. Why I chose this: I was attracted to the fact that the syllabus includes modern electives like Artificial Intelligence, Cloud Computing, and Data Analytics starting from the 3rd year itself, rather than waiting for the final semester. Real-world Prep: The curriculum is designed largely to crack placement interviews. There is a heavy focus on Aptitude and Core Coding subjects (DS/Algo) which helps in getting a job. However, for deep research or R&D roles, the theoretical depth is sometimes lacking. 2. Areas for Improvement Teaching Methods: A major issue is the reliance on PowerPoint Presentations (PPTs). Many faculty members just read off the slides. I would prefer more "Whiteboard Teaching" for mathematical and logic-based subjects. Lab Records: We spend hours handwriting practical records/files which are just copied from the manual. This is a waste of time. This time should be used for live coding projects or hackathons. Outdated Subjects: First-year students (even in CS/IT) are forced to learn heavy mechanical/civil concepts. While basics are good, the depth of these non-core subjects should be reduced. 3. Exam System & Difficulty Frequency: It is quite hectic. We have 2 semesters a year. Each semester has 2 Internal Assessments (Quizzes/Mid-sems) and 1 End-Semester Exam. Basically, you have an exam every 1.5 to 2 months. Difficulty: The exams are Easy to Moderate. It is not very difficult to pass. If you study the "Class Notes" and "Previous Year Questions" for 3-4 days before the exam, you can easily score an 8.0 SGPA. The checking is lenient for passing, but strict if you are aiming for a 9.5+ SGPA.

Life at NIST

Placement Experience:

I actually have a very little idea about placements of our uni few seniors says there is not a single company visiting, while few were discussing the highest placement which was something like 20lpa or something,i think companies do visit our campus it may not be much but i have definetly seen one or two companies visiting. I plan to do MBA after my Btech so i am not that serious about whether i am getting placed or not.

Value For money college

Course Curriculum Overview:

I mainly chose this course because the college is Autonomous, which allows them to update the syllabus faster than standard university colleges; seeing subjects like Python and Data Science in the early semesters really influenced my decision. The curriculum is decent for getting placed in service-based companies like TCS or Wipro since they focus heavily on the basics and aptitude, though for high-end product roles or research, you have to put in extra effort yourself. I definitely think they need to reduce the theory load and focus more on practical coding because sometimes it feels like we are just writing assignments instead of building things. Also, the junior faculty rely too much on reading from slides, which really needs to change to make classes more engaging. As for exams, it feels like we are always writing them since we have two internals and one end-semester exam per term. They are moderately difficult and the checking is strict, so you can't slack off, but the tight schedule can get quite exhausting.

Placement Experience:

I am in my final year and 80% of my classmates including me are already placed. All top MNCs comes to our campus and currently most students are placed in the ranked of 10-20 LPA of CSE branch and top placement was of 52 LPA.

Comprehensive Review of Campus life at IIIT Bhubaneswar

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placementfrom the beginning of 7th semester. Major companies that visit include Oracle, Media.net, Tiger Analytics, Incture, Quantiphi, Capgemini, Tech Mahindra, Informatica and many others. The highest package offered was 24 LPA by Zscaler, while the average package for the electronics branch stands at 6 LPA. This year placements were affected by the recession, resulting in approx 100 students remaining unplaced.

First experience of iiit bhubaneswar

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for internship officially from 3rd yr and for placements 7th semester onwards. Recently oracle has visited and 4-6 gote in there with 26 LPA . Zscalara was also there around 15 LPA . Percentage last year was 80-85 ig. I think I will join as a software developer along with a carrier in photography but let's see what happens.

Electrical engineering is a very respected branch in our college as many industries are built near this area which take students from campus selections.
