Course Curriculum Overview

3

The syllabus and exams are set by Mumbai University. I think the university should add law subjects in 1st and 2nd year (in the 5 year course) so that the students have some basic idea of law. And exams arey more theory based , it must be more focused on practical aspect and applicability of the law rather than theory part.

Internships Opportunities

4

The college provides wide variety of areas of internships to fourth and fifth year students like banking, property/ real estate, family law, corporate, litigation, mass media & entertainment, etc. Students are selected on their performance and interview rounds are conducted.

Placement Experience

4

There is a separate department called Placement cell. They majorly focus on 4th and 5th year students. They also conduct skill development and training sessions for all the students respectively. They also conduct campus placement. My plans after degree is to do LLM and work along with it.

Fees and Financial Aid

My fees is 70000 per year. For the detailed structure you can visit our college's website they have given a detailed structure of fees. We also have part payment options which is beneficial for many students and their parents.

Campus Life

4

They have a very small campus but they have number of activities and competitions conducted by students committee. The activities really help students to connect with their seniors, juniors and their batchmates. It develops the skill of team work, management skills, event management and many more. I have been a part Moot Court Competition, Policy drafting competition, model United Nations, Poetry competition, Alternate Dispute Resolution competition, and many certificate courses as well.

Admission

Pravin Gandhi College is A+ rated by NAAC. It has a very nice faculty and the principal ma'am is also very friendly and always there for students. PGCL has many activities like moot court, Model United Nations, and many competitions and certificate course. They not only focus on academics but also conduct fun activities like sports , cultural events. We also have a one-to-one mentor mentee session which takes care of students mental and emotional health.

Faculty

4

The faculty is great at PGCL. They are really knowledgeable and always available for students. They have a unique teaching methods and very friendly relations with students. The marks are given fairly. As the syllabus and exam papers are set by Mumbai University so college doesn't play any role in setting paper and syllabus. But they cover all the topics very nicely which are given by the university. They also give us real life examples which helps us to understand the concept in a better way.

Night Life

4

They have the best library. Our library has almost all the books which a law student needs. They have books for academics as well as legal magzines , story books, latest bare acts and really pleasant environment. We also have access to Manupatra, Live law , westside and many such apps.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum specially the first two years focuses more on subjects like history, political science etc and prepares are foundation for law. The curriculum is well inclusive of the practical aspects of law as well as the theory which prepares you well for the real world applications. The course can be improved via adding the amended laws like add in GST to the taxation laws. The internal as well as semester exams are conducted once every semester. The difficulty level is easy to moderate for both. We get a study leave of around 20-25 days before every semester exam to prepares ourselves well.

The curriculum is extremely outdated. While NLU students are learning about law in thier first year itself, we have to wait till 3rd year for the same thing. A lot of students end up learning more at internships rather than at college
