college review of RAIT

RAIT is easily the best engineering institution in Navi Mumbai. I would rate it in the top five of Mumbai. You actually experience the ideal engineering college life here. It's the complete package. Academia, sports, culture, research, alumnus, infrastructure, you name it they will top it.

The B.E course is of 4 years, with 8 semesters each. The first year is a common engineering sciences course which gives you an insight into what all engineering degrees you can pursue. There around 40 subjects during the course of these four years.

RAIT has a near 99% placement rate even in the season of recession. Most jobs provided are those with IT profiles though. Internship opportunities are not that common. But that might change gradually. The college's placement cell is one of the best.

RAIT'S cultural and technical festivals are exactly that - FESTIVALS. The handling of these huge events is inspiring. I am proud to have been a part of the many technical festivals during my four years and experience first hand what goes in the preparation of such massive success. EVERYTHING, from the decorations, to the events, to the volunteers, to even the sponsors is handled by the students. It is a treat to watch and be a part of the making.

At par with other technical institutions. The fee does increase a bit with every year but it is still in line with other colleges affiliated with Mumbai University. It is not exorbitant and at the same time not very less.

Most loans that are sanctioned by most educational institutions are provided. These include the ones for economically backward classes, scheduled castes and scheduled tribes, and recently the minority community as well.

Brilliant. The fests are testaments to that. The laboratories are world class. RAIT has it's own sports team which has one many accolades in the past years. The official dance group FOOTLOOSE is a treat to the eyes. It's one of the best places for extra curriculars.

There is the RAA. They have annual meets and is very well connected. The meets also take place abroad. It boasts of some renowned alumni like Dr. Vijay Patil, Shankar Mahadevan and the likes. I haven't really sought help, so can't speak to that.

On the basis of an MHT-CET score of 150/200 in PCM. The college is affiliated to Mumbai University. Admissions to the college are done through the DTE website. Scores accepted are either MHT-CET or JEE-MAIN

The RAIT Computer Engineering faculty is highly qualified. The Department Head, Dr. Leena Ragha has been a part of various projects. The Research Wing of the college is just amazing. Alot of processes have been completely digitalized with inhouse projects soleley. The faculty is highly qualified and efficient.
