Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course curriculum is pretty good. I must say the college does everything to ensure that their students can compete with the world Talking about the exams, class tests are taken two times per semester. Quizzes are also conduted twice a year. There are mid sems as well as end sems. And then practicals before the end sem exams

Placement Experience

4.5

This is year every single student was placed. Few of them have planned to go for post graduation so they didn't took the placement. Otherwise the placement was good. Average package was 5-6 lakhs. If you have good terms with your teacher or if you ask them to help you out with the internship then they are always ready to do that

College Events

3.5

College fest is celebrated called youthopia. It is a three day event and many celebrities visit the campus during this time.Sphurti is the sports event where several colleges take part Flash mobs and several other cultural events are also organized

Fee Structure And Facilities

I won't say the fees is less. The fees is approx 15 lakhs for four years. But yes if you want to pursue your studies from a private college then every good college demands the same Other colleges of dehradun also ask for the same fees

Fees and Financial Aid

If you are from uttarakhand then you get scholarship. And if you have scored above 90 percent then also you get scholarship. And if you do good in your semester exams then also you get scholarship. So,yes there are many chances of getting a scholarship

Campus Life

4.5

There are lab classes regularly since from the beginning of first year. There are many cultural clubs of colleges which organize events regularly.Badminton courts are available in the hostel area which can be used by day-scholars also

Hostel Facilities

4.5

The hostel infrastructure is very good.I must say very good. You get each and every facility that you expect from a good college There are badminton courts and table tennis and carroms also. You can play cricket also. There is a grass garden also. The environment is pretty good

Admission

I qualified through the iit mains marks I scored 67 in mains and henceI got the admission easily And you can also get admission through 12th marks. Preference is given to iit mains marks and then to boards marks

Faculty

4

I must say that they are really helpful. If you know how to make bonds and relations you can really get a lot of help from the teachers. They do everything possible for the betterment of their students

Students become eligible for placements in the 7th sem. Recently, Visa visited our college but didn’t make any offers. The highest package in 2024 was 84 LPA, while the average is around 4 LPA. Nearly 80% of students get placed across different companies. After my degree, I plan to build strong tech skills and aim for a good software developer role.

Godrej, Infosys and likewise tech and non-technical companies which have decided to have some AI engineers in their ranks are coming to our college. Also since our college don't have such big strength like the private universities have and therefore placements final figures may be small but in all, our percentage of placements are better and higher than those of the private universities.

Placement Experience:

Campus placement are quite bad as only a few companies come to our college for placement drive . Students becomes eligible for campus placement from the 3rd year onwards . Companies visited like TCS , HCL and some other not much popular companies visited but this year placement is very low . Our college also fake advertising about the placement they advertise the interships also as placements. 10 to 20 percent in BTech CSE are getting only Placement. I don't know what I will do after getting degree but currently I am doing a side by side diploma from IIT Roorkee to get some extra knowledge and skill improvement for better placements.

Oracle, Microsoft, DeShaw and almost every company which needs IT services have looked upon GEU because we are trained that way. This is the reason our median has gone up and this year was a breakout year for placements for GEU as over 15-20 students were hired for packages of over 40 LPA.
