Remarks

The college over-all is a good college provide all the necessary things we want but all of us at the college has problems with the placement as they are goof but not the best.Very less core companies visit of out campus. According to the calibre of the students they don't get what they deserve.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The courses curriculum is very good and appropriate as required. It is same as that in IITs.And talking about the exam structure here at UIET Exams are counted thrice first 2 are minors and the last one are majors the best of 2 minor is considered for result and for the rest of remaining marks(20 marks) quiz is conducted.

Placement Experience

3

Placement and job opportunity for a computer science student is good in our collge. Its also good for IT EEE ECE students. But the students of MECHANICAL and BIOTECHNOLOGY branch face some issue regarding placement.Yes the college provide internship. The DIC group provide internship which is under MHRD Govt of India. The selection proces is simply in the basis of interview and they provide RS 5000 stipend monthly for a period of 6 months and that period can even be increased if you perform well.

College Events

4

GOONJ- Cultural Fest of UIET organised by UTECHNOS is a 3 day long event consisting of various activities like Hackathons, Culture Events etc. UDEMY- Entrepeneurship Event organised by EDC Intern Fair- Internship for the Students of 2nd,4th and 6th SEM organised by EDC

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee Structure is Rs88000 approx for first year and then Rs80000 for 2nd year onwards so it's feasible The examination fee is also charged extra which is 2575 per semester so the total fee is 348600 which is okay in comparison to other college

Fees and Financial Aid

The college provide scholarship for students belonging to Economically weaker sections of the society and the benefits includeded are only RS 5000 turion fee for semester and free hostel facility. Also the college provide all the schlorship given by Govt of India

Campus Life

3.5

The labs are fully equipped with latest equipments and computer. All the necessary stuff required if present. Alot of extra curricular activities are provided in the college like drama, debate, dancing etc by various clubs.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

The department provide hostel facility for meritorious students of each branch. The fee is Rs12000 pa for accomodation+RS 40000 approx for food pa.The hostel infrastructure is good, they provide you with all basic amenities.

Alumni/Alumna

The alumni network previously was not so strong but now the college is working on that. A special committee is there to handle all the alumni related staff called the STAR.Time to time meeting and seminars are conducted by STAR and the senior are helpful.

Admission

The Admission process was pretty simple.I filled the for at https:chdenggadmissions.nic.in/jaccms/public/home.aspx for JAC Chandigarh. After that there was certain formalities which I have to fulfill and on the basis of my rank in JEE MAINS i was allotted a seat.

Faculty

4

Placement Experience:

Placements are fairly decent, with a range of companies recruiting, though non-tech students often face challenges in securing relevant roles. The placement team conducts mock interviews and workshops to enhance students' soft skills. Salary packages vary significantly based on the company and individual skill set, and internship opportunities are also available.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is designed to teach the basic and fundamental subjects of computer science to students. In each subject, the difficulty level is below moderate. There are some subjects which meet the industry standards and prepare students for jobs in market. But many subjects are out-dated and their syllabus is not upto standard mark of industry requirements. There is an urgent need to update the syllabus and make it more industry demands-oriented. The teaching methods used are good but some updates can make them more better. Less focus is given on practical knowledge and labs. In each semester, you will have sessional exams two times for all 5 subjects. In each year, there are two semesters and in each semester you will havee final exams in the month of December and May.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is highly relevant and comprehensive, according to me. The core courses that are mandatory for a student to take are highly relevant and necessary in order to develop the relevant skills and knowledge in that specific domain of the field. Electives on the other hand, are a student's choices and may or may not be relevant directly to the course one is studying. The university offers a wide range of electives and the electives are also taught by highly qualified professors across the 12 different schools of JGU. The end semester exams are either of 30 marks or 50 marks, depending on the course. Electives usually have a 30-mark end-of-semester exam for 1.5 hours. The exams are pretty easy and theoretical and contextual, unless the course one has chosen is strictly application-based and demands applications of theoretical frameworks. The core exams in the first and second year are divided across 50 and 30 mark exams and are often for 3 hours. The exams are pretty easy and theoretical except for the practicum courses, which are deeply application-based. The final year has very few core courses which are for 30 marks.
