Course Curriculum Overview

4

The exam is quite upto the mark infested with shoet question as well as broad ones. The practical exam is also quite good. But there is room for improvement in terms of the practicality of course. More job oriented preparation for exams should be done inside college otherwise studying for a difficult course at times seems to be vague

Fees and Financial Aid

Yearly fees is about 7000. Odd semester fees is around 5500 and the even semester fees is around 1500-2000. There will also be the Swami vivekananda scholarship if you opt for it plus the other benefits from west bengal government like the Kanyashree if you are a girl child.

Campus Life

5

My college focuses on the overall development. There are several cultural fests competitions and everything else that would give a child moral boost in the midst of studies and also prepare for a larger world and audience waiting outside in your practical life. The digital classrooms give facility for presentations which prepare us for group projects etc.

Admission

I chose this college mainly because of the distance from my home. I had the percentage of marks to go into any other decent college. But i mainly chose this one in order to prepare myself well for exams closely from my home as it would not weary me out at the end of the day

Faculty

4

The faculty to student ratio is 1:8 almost. The relationship with faculty is really good. All the fa faculty is quite good in our department with in depth knowledge. Exams are of two types the internal exams and the university exams. Internal exam is held once per semester.

Night Life

4

I do not have nuch idea about the hostel timings because my friends also dont stay in those. Hangout places are like really close by ranging from a variety of classic cafes to parks everything is pretty over here. You will just get the hang of it in a few days. The atmosphere her around is like really cosy.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The mathematics honours curriculum influence my decision to choose these course because of its strong emphasis on core subjects like calculus algebra and analysis which build solid theoretical foundation and logical thinking skills. The course prepared students will for higher studies and comparative exams by focusing on conceptual clarity proves and problem solving some topics also offer practical relevance in field suggest statistics data analysis and applied sciences. Curriculum can be improved by including more application oriented subjects computational tools an interactive teaching method such as problem solving sessions and project based learning

Cirrculam is more theoritical just. There is negligible practical life lessons. Just like normal college, u study just to get degree. The whole cirriculam should be improved. Examination is held only once - midsems, endsems thats all.

Computers are so vast that masters is mandatory and therefore I have certain plans for that. However big scale IT companies come here and students of Computer science Hons have had placements worth 6-10 lakhs easily. My plans are to appear for the job interviews but not taking any as I want to study more.

I currently in 2nd year, so I don't have much idea about placements that college offers. But have a brief idea on the besis of the seniors. My collage provides internships, and the average package is also good. From the sixth semester one can become eligible for internships. My plan is to study further, Msc and PhD.
