The campus is huge and nice has a lot of facilities
The academics is relatively easier than others
The faculty is laid back and give u a easy time in college

The crowd in the college there's too many people
The crowd in college the people are too uncivilized
The racism where every tamilian is given more importance

Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum is not bad it's appropriate not too hard not too easy but it is challenging. I feel the curriculum could be updated and we could be learning a lot newer things but it's not too bad.

Class Size: 65Course Fees: INR 450000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

Fee payment is done yearly and it's 4 and half lakhs per annum the registration fee is 10k I'm not sure about other courses but these are the details for my course as of now. Hostel fees is another 2.8 lakhs over all SRM is pretty expensive

Campus Life

Campus Life at SRM is great there are a variety of clubs which you could join but it's all on u and the more u do the better. But other than that I would not recommend the college as the locals at the college make it a living hell for others

Admission

I came to SRM and no other college purely because I got cse only in SRM and no where else. If I had the choice I would have gone elsewhere somewhere in Bangalore or maybe even manipal. Srm had a online entrance exam.

Faculty

The faculty of the college is a mix of good teachers and bad teachers there are teachers who I've had a good time with but at the same time there are teachers who are not fit for the role and really made me despise the subjects

Night Life

The night life around the SRM area isn't very great but Chennai night life in the city is unmatched. There are various gyms around college but too crowded. The hostel in time is 9pm and only way to enjoy the night life is staying out of campus

Is VIT worth it

Placement Experience:

Placements in VIT UNIVERSITY is very good the average package is 8 lakhs and the Highest may go upto 1 crore every year.There is a separate placement cell in VIT chennai and they give you placement training from start of the third year. Many multinational companies like google, microsoft etc comes to VIT to pick students for their company. Almost 98 percent of the students gets places in VIT. After my degree I choose to sit for placements.

SRMIST is superb in all sense!!

I applied at PDEU, Gandhinagar and SRMIST and both colleges admissions were almost done but since my family is from Chennai, we al decided to stay close to home atleast for UG. Entrance is their for SRM University and one has to clear that to get admission here.
