Likes
- OIST Bhopal is located near some of the most iconic locations of Bhopal and therefore one will always find hustle and bustle close to the campus.
- Our college has their own business service and nearly 50 buses are run by them to ensure that students can commute without taking any private help.
- We are not bound to wear uniforms on the days we have events and we can wear accordingly.
Dislikes
- Management staff is little rude as one has to visit their office ample times to address the same issue.
Course Curriculum Overview
CSDS is not offered by too many colleges and this was the rarest course. I never wanted to be a part of rat race and always wanted to stay ahead of times. Our course is one such course as five years from now people will just be doing data science and therefore I am glad I got the opportunity to be a part of it in the initial stage itself.
Internships Opportunities
Many IT companies and start-ups that wants junior data analysts hire third students of our course. Last semester 40 students were hired and students had the option of doing the internships remotely and were paid over 10000 as stipend as well.
Placement Experience
3rd semester our training begins as workshops and all becomes mandatory which are a part of training process. Over 100 companies including all departments are a part of OIST placements program. IT companies though shares the largest share in that.
Fees and Financial Aid
Well myself Ritika Rajput on second year of OIST Bhopal has to pay a fees of 63500 annually. This fees is for all be it any category as scholarship forms have to be filled and then the funds are released in the respective accounts depending upon their scholarship category be it SC/ST or OBC. So, upfront apart from EWS category students one has to pay the entire fees.
Campus Life
Many events and fests are a part of our college life and from tech fest to cultural fest to every single religious festival is celebrated at OIsT campus. We have 6 land and 2 workshop rooms. We have various sports facilities and a beautiful canteen. If that's not all we have a garden with beautiful flowers that makes our day in the morning.
Admission
This college over the others as in Bhopal, the college with best infrastructure is ours. The college with best placements is ours and one has to be in the merit list otherwise there's no chance one can get admission in OIST of for that matter any college of Oriental Group.
Faculty
Faculties of OIST are a perfect seesaw here as on some days they will be very kind to us and on somedays very strict. This is all because they have such things in them that academically they are always helpful but when it leads to leaves and short attendance, they will show their other side which is way strict.
Night Life
Hostels are good but in time ka quite strict so hostel students have to eat in the message. However they can order till 11pm as there's no prohibition in that. From Burger House to Domino's everything is there in our college area and student can Zomato or Swiggy any of those items till 11pm.
