Course Curriculum Overview

4

I chose BAMS without even knowing anything about it. At first, I didn't want to take this course as I knew nothing about it. There was a 15day orientation programme at the beginning of the course where all the faculties interacted with the freshers and gave us an idea about the college and course after which I started to like the course. Now I am doing final year and I really love BAMS. It is much better than Modern medicine as many diseases can be cured without surgery. I have seen many patients who got admitted to our hospital because they didnt want to undergo surgery and took ayurvedic medicine and got much better relief. One thing I am worried about is the life after completion of the course. It is hard to get a good salary immediately after BAMS.

In our college, currently there are students of 2 schemes of kuhs bams batches. In 2016 scheme, each academic year upto 3rd year is 1 year and the final year is 1½ years. On successful completion of final year the students can enter the internship (house surgency) of 1 year. For the other batches (2020 scheme) 3 academic years of 1½ year each and then 1 year internship is provided. All students have to attend term exams (Internals) - 1st and 2nd and a model exam before attending the main university exam which makes it much easier for the students to face the university exams

Nightlife cant be experienced in this college as the college gate closes by 6pm. The students staying in girls hostel should enter the hostel by 6pm. After that students are allowed to go out only to the canteen between 7 and 8 pm

Course Curriculum Overview:

Ayurveda is also very important part of medical field. It brings a lot of treatment aspects and life style betterment. There are practical significance of all the knowledge into life. Hospitals here is very much well equipped and doctors are skillful so it's very good platform for learning to treat the disease and at the same time learning for prevention of disease. Some of the portions should be re evaluate. They should not make shloka compulsory and eliminate some old theories which are not going to accept. Should combined with modern medicine and teach a hybrid model or Intregate course.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The latest course curriculum is good as they provide 20 MCQ in every 100 mark paper,so it had become much easy for students to pass the exam. The sloka is mandatory in exams which is a drawback that finds too much time consumption to students and the Sanskrit language is also very difficult. Each exams have 3hrs which is sufficient as only 80 marks questions need to be written reaming 20 marks are MCQ
