Remarks
The College development Committee should work upon the renovation of old building and should work upon the replacement of old lab equipments. There are much extra curricular activities and that should be continued for the betterment of students.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum should be more interactive and practical rather than theoretical. The Exam structure is divided into 8 semesters and 2 internal exams in each semester. Along with that there are Viva Voce and practical exams at the end of semester.
Placement Experience
There is more than 60-70% placement of our department's students in final year. On basis of the whole college there the percentage goes a bit low. After passing out from college, all of the students get placed within one year or less. No our college doesn't provide internship,rather we have to go to nearby industries for internship with due permission from the concerned officials of training and placement department. The college often takes the students to nearby industrial visits.
College Events
There are a lot of events celebrated in our college. These are- HORIZON- Annual techno-cult-lit fest of IGIT SARANG occurs every year in the month of February. SAMUDBHAWA- Annual science fest of IGIT SARANG ANWESHAN- Annual literature fest of IGIT SARANG ECLECTIKA- Annual Funfair of IGIT SARANG UTSAHAN-Annual athletic meet There are many other departmental Fest as our department has VISTAAR-Annual Techno-Cult Fest of Dept.of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering Other depts have fests like Quimica,Admantium,Technovation, Cosmitto. Also there are branch welcome and farewell celebration of each branches every year.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fee structure is feasible as for normal fees ranges to total of 60-70k and for Self sustained course it is around 1.2 lac per year including mess charges and fooding. As it is a state government autonomous institute the charges of mess and fooding is less compared to other engineering institutes.
Fees and Financial Aid
Scholarship like Medhabruti to meritous students and Prerana to the reserved category students are provided.Loan facilities from the State bank of India branch of college campus is provided to the students.
Campus Life
Extracurricular activities are very good in our college. The students get maximum opportunity to enhance their skills and knowledge through the activities in the college done all round the year. There are many workshops and seminars done by the college for building the experience for students.
Hostel Facilities
Yes I've opted for hostel and the facilities are not that optimum. Its okay for basic survival but it needs some regular maintenance. Also it needs to be renovated in some areas. Infrastructure is 4 out of 5 and facilities is 3 out of 5.
Alumni/Alumna
Yes they are very helpful and they provide much help and advice during conduction of fest. They provide financial as well as moral support to the organising batch and the junior students during any function.
Admission
First I have to give JEE Mains,then after the results of the entrance exam I have to fill form of OJEE for securing a seat in my college through my JEE rank. After 3 stages of allotments,the final allotment letter is issued by the OJEE Committee and a particular date is given by the respective institute in which we have to do the basic admission official works and the admission process gets completed.
Faculty
In our department the faculty are very nice and they are always ready to help the students. Most of them are sincere for the regular classes and also arrange extra classes for any doubt clearance. The theory classes are good but there is a bit dissatisfaction for practicals due to lack of time.
