A small description on MJN medical college and Hospital

As per the new guide lines by National medical counsil the course is clinically oriented .NMC introduces new competency based teaching and learning procedure for both teacher and student. Clinal posting starts from 2nd year and continues till internship . Postings are in various departments like General medicine, OBS and Gynae, Surgery, Paediatric,ENT,Ophthalmology, Anaesthesia,Psychiatry etc

West bengal university of health science offers us a 12 month compulsory internship in different departments. Departments includes Medicine and allied subjects,Community Medicine, ENT and Ophthalmology, Surgery and Obs and Gynae.

As we all know medical field gain too much popularity in last decade for early placements and job opportunity our college offers MBBS (ug)and DNB(pg) course. There are 100 seats including all india and state quota and reservation as normal percentage . All the reservation certificate and categories including SC,ST,OBC,PC,EWS seats are present .There are total 9 semester and per semester fees is 4572 including hostel fees.State scholarship SVMCM,Aikyashree, OASIS all scholarship oppurtunities are available .Student credit card facility is also present as per the guidlines of state government .After 4 years of theory class, exams ,ward posting and tutorial each student have to complete their Internship for minimum 12 month to get the MBBS degree.Here each student will get around 32000 per month as a stipend during their internship. After completion of MBBS a student can apply for tempory hospital job or he/she can practice in private or may get admission in post graduate degree.In the full course our college offers 19 subject with their tutorial and ward posting and Internship at the end .

Here we welcomes our new junior batch with a freshers welcome event.Here we congratulate them for get a seat in government medical college among 20lakh student ,introduces our course and college and basic advices. Here a cultural programme on yearly basis with local and international cultural events. Many outdoor tournament like cricket ,volley ball and football on half a yearly basis.

We have good hostel facilities and offers each student. In a single room maximum 3 students are allowed and have individual bed,table,chair,wardrobe, lights ,fan . After completing academic admission process one can easily get a seat in hostel from same counter . Food quality is average like others hostel and price is 40 per meal.

Yes i will prefer Colleges present in Kolkata.In Kolkata medical college kolkata NRS medical college,SSKM medical college ,CNMC medical college they all are better for MBBS and post graduate (MD,MS,DNB). A student who took science stream and secured a minimum 60 percent in 12th board exam can attempt the entrance exam. The entrance exam is taken by NTA on yearly basis.Entrance exam is fully MCQ type including physics,chemistry, botany and zoology each subject have 50 questions. State rank for general students varies around 2000 to 2200 and All india rank varies from 25000 to 32000 for .

Here we can say 10 student per Faculty in each subject. At the end of each year there are professional exams both theory and practical marks varies from 900 to 1400 . Minimum passing marks in each subject is 50 percent. Here in our hostel recreation room is available for Group gathering and in the ground floor we gave a Canteen and in academic building we also have a canteen for fooding starts from breakfast to dinner and opened from 8 am to 11pm. In academic building we have libraries and study room for study opening at 9 am and closes at 8pm.Library also offers many books for student on free of cost but on a maximum duration of one month . Here besides football and cricket ground we have bench to sit . In local areas we have our popular Rajbari,Sagardighi for outing. Different resturan including veg and non veg are available in zomato swiggy for hostel delivery.
