Course Curriculum Overview

4

I chose this course because I wanted to become a successful software engineer. Time to time coding contests take place in the campus and mini projects were made to make it engaging and helping students to be better. Labs should be improved more and learning should be made more engaging so students can gain skills rather than chanting the old school things. Timing of exams are accurate as per my perspective

Internships Opportunities

3

Internships are offered but currently I'm a second year student so I know less about the company who visits..but internships are provided for sure. Worked on mini projects which was of a travel agency ..and I worked on frontend

Placement Experience

3

From 3-4th year, students can apply for placements. Infosys and many more companies visited our campus and with average package of 4-5 lakhs annually. Highest package was 12 lakhs and average was 4 lakhs Around 60-70%students get placed. My plans after this degree is to become a successful software engineer at Google.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yearly fees for btech degree is 110000 and so for 4 years it is around 5 lakhs. No scholarship for wards of govt jobs. Rather than that scholarship for wards of pvt jobs is there..which is around 50000 yearly. Other than that fees for college is same for everyone.

Campus Life

5

Origins, gdgc, binary brains and many more of annual and technical festivals take place in the campus . Books and journals are easily accessible in the libraries and range is quite wide and impressive. Sports and events take place time to time for physical health of the students and many more inter college competition take place too.. Social club, Technovibes, karmavesh are the cultural clubs of the college and binary brains and gdgc for technical events

Hostel Facilities

3

Separate hostels are for different year students and for first year it is specially more safer and anti ragging agenda keeps on going.. Rooms are according to preferences like single, double, triple seaters rooms,ac/non-ac rooms and the meal quality is good most of the time and monthly menu changes for change in taste and flavours. Registration for hostels is quite smoother but is little bit costier...

Admission

I chose this college because it provided me a way to become a successful software engineer and prove myself to the world. I gave jee exam but I failed to crack it with enough marks for IIT or nit so I chose an aktu college according to my rank. Admission process is really very smooth and admission is done through aktu counseling.

Faculty

4

Faculties are really approaching and engaging..some of the faculties are really good and they treat everyone like their own child and help them grow in their field of interests and enhancing skills regarding coding and others. In the first year, aashirwad sir who taught us electrical was a really good faculty...he teached with very fun activities which helped us to remember the concepts for longer terms. I didn't like the maths faculty because they were not able to explain the concept thoroughly... Exams are taken timely in the forms of class tests , periodic tests, put and many more ...which helped for final semester examination

Night Life

5

Hangout spots is cafeteria and sports stadium..there is no gym in the campus. Hostels for boys and girls are separated.and timings differ for different year students..just like for first years, hostel gate closes at 6:30 pm and for second to fourth years is around 8:30. Campus is really safe for night roaming and hangouts at cafeteria is really a fun

My planned after getting my degree is to grab a decent package from the college and started my career.

Recently Infosys visited our college, however the average and highest package was not yet declared but we have heard rumours that the highest package is somewhat around 30 LPA. The percentage of students getting placement is around 65%. My plans after getting this degree is applying for external placements as well.

Course Curriculum Overview:

This criteria for choosing the college was because of placements. The curriculum Is outdated and not as per the industry requirements. In 1st year we are taught only one language and which is of no use.... That is C. But in other universities, students are taught languages like java, C++, python in their 1st year. Teachers are good. I have no issues with them but I have issues with its curriculum. Exam are taken so much which are according to me good as they prepare as for university exams but as I consider placement point of view so students do not have enough time to prepare for their placements, learning new skills as we are supposed to study for exams otherwise we will have to attend extra exams and classes and will lose internal marks. So having many exams have both benefits and drawbacks.
