Srm follows Regulations it is a good thing that is practiced, Every updated regulations have updated syllabus and more efficient for knowledge gain. The syllabus is very updated and modern. Srm have best syllabus till now

Fees is 400000, each year it is increased approximately 25k, in 2023 it was 400000 for CSE cyber Security In 2024 it was 425000 for same cse cyber Security It is a good College, provides us with numerous labs and staff Registration fees is 10000

Coming to the clubs srm university has many clubs like fashion, dance, singing, cyber, technical, non technical, operations, discipline, hospitality, arts, cultural, event management etc... you can join any of the clubs

Hostel Facilities

Many hostels were there in SRMIST Many PGs were are located nearby Many Flats were also there You can select your accomodation accordingly to your needs overall hostel food is just adjustable You can hire cooks for flats

Admission

Srm is a college in chennai, that will be competing with Vellore institute of technology in Nirf ranking more companies come for placement to srmist as compared to vellore institute of technology It has best scope for CSE students

Faculty

Most of the Faculty are Native, and There are some faculties who are very excellent in subjects. They teach well. Some faculties are new to college with less experience. Overall you will be satisfied.

Night Life

Night life is not so good in SRMIST if you stay in hostels You should be in hostel before 9pm whenever you leave Or if you go to library you may get permission letter from library then it will extend upto 11pm (only for boys)

Placement Experience:

In our University from the starting of Seventh semester we are eligible for campus placements. Campanies like Jubilant food works, Zifo Technologies, Amura Heath Pvt.Ltd, Biocon etc. were some of the companies that visited our campus. Around fifty students got offers from these companies. About 70 percentage of the students got placements successfully. I am planning to pursue a master degree abroad

Likes

Many clubs available from Toastmasters to Campus Life, Our club Toastmasters is one of the peak highlights of our college. We regularly go to corporates to attend meetings of their clubs and network a lot.
Love the Research setup of our college. Has more than 15 COEs present. ABB research centre is the best among them
The bring in a lot of industry professionals every.One or the other event always keeps happening.

Dislikes

Campus is not very huge since it's in the centre of the city but the outside shops make up for this

Placement Experience:

From the very entry into your third year, you will be eligible to most of the placements. The training provided is very exquisite and some of the trainings start as early as 1st year. 2026 highest package was 55LPA. Many companies like from product companies like Microsoft, Capgemini to service based companies like TCS, INFOSYS etc.. visit our campus for regular placements. About 98% of people placed as far as I have heard.

The library is really Awesome in every aspect.
The facilities and labs and everything needed for studies is way above the bar. Great university to actually study and research.

No culturals, and if there is some only secular songs
Strict rules (needed, but some are too strict)

Placement Experience:

From the sixth semester the student are eligible for placements and prominent companies such as bicon, lifecell, zoho, Thermofisher, lmt mindtree, jubilant food works, siemens, bioartha and around 2030 offers has been made os of april 2026 for my batch. the percentage of students getting placed is over 95 percent as the rest of the students have opted for higher studies like me. i plan on doing my masters abroad.

Colleges which I have applied for was Sree Ramachandra institute in tamil nadu, MGR University IISER But I only got confirmed admission from SRM by writing a medical entrance exam.
