Thiagarajar College of Engineering is a good college for students to begin their graduation studies. It is one of the top college in madurai district and top 20 amoung the college in tamil nadu state.

MCA department has a good curriculum and syllabus system. In which 1st and 2nd sem cover all basic in computer science and further semester deals in advanced systems. Exam pattern are scheduled in a regular and easy manner by anna university to which our college is affiliated.

Placement and job opportunities and well provided in our college. Every year upto 60 to 80 percentage students get placed in our campus interviews. Students who are not placed given priority for internship and get placed in the same company. I got internship in a company called MAVEL referred through my college and provided 10,000 as stipend.

College Cultural department never fail to conduct culturals every year. They give permission for department cultural for each and every department in our college and also they conduct common cultural named as Shristi where all are welcomed.

Fees structure are definitely feasible to students in our college. Those students who get admission through counselling quota in university will get a low fee structure compared to students through management quota. Counselling quota get fee of 15 k to 20 k and management quota get 30 k to 50 k for every year.

Students through counselling quota get a scholarship facility of upto 10k based on their academic marks and behaviour. Students through management quota do not get Scholarship reward. Faculty working as a gazetted officer in college help students to get education loan.

Elective subjects are provided to students to learn an extra knowledge about other subjects. Labs are provided every semester and recorded to count under semester exams. Students are allowed to join in college sports committee in various games like hockey , football , volleyball , cricket etc.

Alumni are the strength of our college. They maintain a good contact even after pass out year. They also help in students placement , internship , events , college cultural and various components. They also spend their time to current pursuing students , by guiding them how to reach their goals.

I am doing post graduation (MCA) in this college. For admission you must write common MCA entrance exam called TANCET (Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test). And students who are above a required percentage can attend interview in college and get their admission.

Faculties are of well standard in teaching and lecturing students. Most of faculty holds Doctorate and Ph.d in degree. So faculty guide students in a proper and correct way to solve problems and also to achieve it practically.
