"A Golden era of my college life"

I chose this course since I had a huge interest in the automobile sector. This made me take this specialization in BE. Coming to faculty: The student ratio is 1:20. This college has well-trained and qualified professors (Ph.D.) who carry the teaching content in very enthusiastic ways and innovative ways. Every semester has 3 set of internal exams and one-semester exam. Since we would be taught most of the concepts in class itself, it is more than enough if we go through the concepts everyday evening after finishing college.

I did an internship at TVS motor company with a stipend of 12000 rs per month. The project we were working on was speed and torque control of the PMDC motor. You can avail internship opportunities from companies such as TVS, Titan, Caterpillar, and TAFE.

Once you complete your 7th semester, you will be taking some projects which will be validated by your project guide at the end of 8th semester. But during the 6th semester itself, Companies start to come to the college for placements. So you must be starting preparation for your placements since your 4th semester itself. kindly try to spend some time regularly on your placement preparation. The most known companies such as TVS Motor Company, Titan, TAFE, and Caterpillar come to our college for placement selection. The average salary package you get will be around 5 LPA. The highest package in my batch was 21 LPA. Almost 70-80 % of students are getting placed in well-respected companies. I got selected by TVS Motor Company in 2017.

Splitting the fee structure into 2 parts. Educational fees - 16000 rs (since I'm from Govt quota category). Hostel fees - 56000 rs, If you are not from a quota background, then you will be joining in the management category where you will have to pay for educational fees of around 90000 rs. Talking about the job I was selected for is at TVS motor company, Hosur. This college provided numerous opportunities in placement such as TAFE, TVS, Titan, Caterpillar, etc.

During my college times, it was great to be one of the hostel-living persons. The surrounding of the hostel was fabulous and natural environment since this college is in the Thirupparangundram zone in Madurai which is a small hill station. Every year, the hostel day is conducted by seniors where you will be provided with a variety of foods, sports will be conducted in a hostel, and dancing also will be conducted. Seniors are so friendly to chat with and they help a lot if you reach out to them. No ragging is there. Library facility is there where you can utilize and improve your knowledge. Sports such as cricket, volleyball, ball badminton, basketball, tennis, and shuttlecock are there where you can spend your time to improve your physique and get rid off your stress.

Since I scored 98 % in the 12th public exam, I was eligible for OBC govt quota reserved seats. So we need to pay 5000 as a reservation fee during counseling conducted by the Tamilnadu government. If we avail of the reserved seats, the educational course fee will be reduced based on our reserved quota (for me, OBC). Only we would have to spend more money on college hostel facilities if you are going to avail the hostel facilities.
