Course Curriculum Overview

5

The curriculum of our college is quite simple and helps the students to understand and implement the practical applications . The courses are easy to understand and provide better knowledge about how things work . The faculty teachers try their best to make us familiar with the topics

Internships Opportunities

3

The college internships were not that good but they were okay. They provide coding, designing, IoT and mechanical field internships for each particular department. Such as the electrical students had done their internship at the power grid station and the mechanical Students did internships at IIT Jammu fir cad designing.

Placement Experience

4

In 6th semester, the students get the exposure about placements . Earlier, they had done internships in their respective departments. The college placements are not upto the mark and requirements but the companies do come for the campus placement .such as ozisoft company form mohali came and selected few students from each department for the placement

Fees and Financial Aid

For every year , 50 thousands fees is to paid which includes the tuition fee , addmission fee and registration fee of about 2000 rupees. Also bus charges , library charges and internet fee are also included in the fees . For Sikh Students , there is a discount of 10,000 rupees just for the new addmission students There is a state scholarship for the new students who pass the exam . Also for girls , there is a scheme which provides a scholarship amount of 20,000 yearly. For every field the fees is same

Campus Life

4

There are some events which happens in our college such as talent hunt which is held usually around June , college fest occurs once in a year. College has a central library which is large and has a variety of books and journals and articles. Also it has department libraries where the particular students acam study separately. The classrooms are good but doesn't have any technology. The seminar rooms are provided for virtual learning and they have projectors for this. The campus has grounds for outdoor sports such as badminton, cricket, volleyball etch . And along with that it has an indoor sports room where billard and other board games cam be played.

Admission

Initially I was not going for this college .I had applied to the SMVDU University and Meit college but I was not eligible for the courses there . So then I got to know about this college and got addmission in the mechanical field.

Faculty

5

The faculty is sufficient for the students of each department. The faculty teachers have a very friendly relationship with the students of their respective departments. Whenever there is the need of them, they are ready for helping the students in any situation. As I'm from mechanical department, our faculty seems to be the best and they are the most liked for their comfortable and friendly relationship with our students . The internal exams are conducted twice in each semester and they are moderately tough. Many students are able to clear the exams . And the final exams are being conducted at Jammu University .

Night Life

4

After the classes, students hangout in the outdoor grounds and canteen area . Around college, the students are seen to be hanging out at the restaurants and cafes with theirs groups . The hostel students have fun and roam around the City during evenings. The locality is quite safe for students in the day time . But during light it is a little dangerous
