- The placement cell worked very effectively on a war made basis to help each and every student to get place in the available companies.
- The infrastructure is very good, it has an auditorium, sports area, play area, hostel, blocks of every individual department, Mechanical Workshop etc.

Course Curriculum Overview
As far as we consider that textbook knowledge is not the real world knowledge and that is 100% truth. So in this case scenario, the college helped a lot and took initiatives for students to arrange industrial visits to Thermal Power plant at Wanakbori, Gujarat and Nuclear Power Plant - kakrapar in Gujarat. Also with the support from Govt. of Gujarat, the students were given free 15 days training at international centre of automobile excellence in various technologies like welding. EV technology, Smart manufacturing, 3D CAD Design, CAM, CNC and VMC Mechines etc. So this is a very very amazing thing.
Fees and Financial Aid
GECV had a fees structure same as Government Engineering Colleges of Gujarat. It ranged from rs. 1200 to 2000 per years depending upon the semesters. The fees were to be paid on a semester basis after completion of each semester.
Campus Life
Campus life at GECV is amazing. There are clubs like Mechanical Engineering Student Association, GECV Rocketry Team,NCC Cadets are also trained in the college and many social activities by Prof. Dr. Vaseem Qureshi is initiated to make students aware about literature, art and English language tool The technical facilities and classrooms are not upto the mark as compared to private institutions but much much acceptable in terms of the confitions and working in a better way. Sports activities are also carried out and social activities like helping blind students as a writers etc activities are also managed by student groups.
Admission
GECV is one of the best colleges in Gujarat. It ranks top 10 in terms of Govt. Colleges in Gujarat and first rank is of LD College of Engineering. Every student studying in Std. 12th or Diploma Engineering in Gujarat once have a dream to get into LD college of engineering.But as the merit goes high, the second best option is GECV. So i selected GECV as it is one of the top colleges of Gujarat.
Faculty
The well qualitied faculties are teaching in each and every department of the college. The teachers holding PhD, Masters from IITs and NITs are guiding students a lot and igniting a spark of knowledge in students life.
Night Life
No night life i had celebrated as i always used to go back home after completing my college. But my friends who stayed in the hostel always used to travel around as there are lots and lots of cafeterias, restaurants nearby to celebrate some small events such as if someone clears backlog, passes exam with good grades etc. hostel has a strict timing and if anyone is out of hostel one has to return by 7:00 pm anyhow or they may call parents / guardians of students coming late.
