- There is very good support of faculties on us, they are really well behaving, kind and educated.
- campus cleanliness and greenery is one of those things i liked the most, fresh air is very enjoyable and relaxing.
- the infrastructure of college is also good, separate departments for all branches and nice facilities including hostels, sitting areas, and other mandatory facilities.
Dislikes
- the thing i disliked about GEC - Rajkot is that is does not have any mess and canteen facility.
- the hostel students are also facing issues at getting nice and hygenic food. all are used to eat packed food and there is very less facility of home made hygenic food.
- all the faculties are kind and good but some teachers are not behaving right to us. very strict and rude personality make us hate them.
Course Curriculum Overview
when i was in class 11th, i was very interested in automation technology and robotics, but i dont wanted to do physical work, so i found artificial intelligence and data science, also i was interested in coding, so i chose this course. all faculties are teaching us properly, although, there are not any core subjects covered bcz we're in 1st sem, but lets see further, how it goes.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees structure in government engineering college - rajkot is similar as other GTU affiliated colleges which is 1500/- per year. along with that, GEC - Rajkot also charges 850/- per year for other facilities like library, labs etc. also there are many scholarship programs in which students can apply but i had not heard about any program by college itself, mostly it were from other private or government platforms.
Campus Life
we're in 1st sem, so no major club invites are there but recently we joined a small club. we also enjoyed fresher's party a lot. social experience is just 8/10. nice environment for overall growth of a student.
Admission
it was well fitting to my location, i live in rajkot so it is nearest and best college for me. the other thing is that the branch they're offering. AI&DS is what i wanted and it was also well-fitting to my grades of 12th. so i picked this college and branch.
Faculty
Overall rating for the facultlies is 7/10. it depends upon departments, in some departments, faculties are very good while in some others, they are very monotonous and rude. i am studing AI&DS cource which is good for me. since i came here, i had not faced any major issue related to quality of study. Exam systems are also good (9/10).
Interview Experience
No, There is no current group discussion happened. although there were many discussions about teamwork project and also college cunducted 2-3 written test for mid sem and final exam revision purpose. it was a nice experience.
Night Life
There is a library in our college, however, mostly it seems to be closed, but yes, it is very good facility. many students study there on them selves. there is also small GAZEBO over there where we sit mostly after lectures. there is no any cafeterias and gym.
