The college had nothing to do except taking lectures . No projects no seminars no discussion nothing . Just come to college attend lectures from unqualified teachers and leave . No fests no nothing. you will be getting no exposure in this college. Sometimes the teachers failed to complete the syllabus before the examination they would conduct class tests which helped in being updated with syllabus . It was my worst decission to go to this college . The only reason I chose it was because we had no other colleges near my house .

The fees is very less . Only 9000 rupees . After every two months you have to pay 1460 rupees . There was annual system and no semester system so you has pay accordingly . But this is only tution fees and you have to pay for your books , food and everything yourself . You have to pay your examination fees yourself which is about 2500 and near to that . The examination fees is to be paid while filling the examination form . The worst thing is fine . They can charge you fine for anything you won't even Imagine of . If you are absent for a day you'll have to pay 50 rs . No matter if your attendance is more than 75% or not . You can issue books from Libra but it's of no use as the books are all of previous years and not the latest edition. So you'll have to buy your own books . If you are financially weak they can let go off your fine and lessen the fees too. The addmission fees also wasn't that much as much as I remember , I gave only 3000 . And yes just for clarification I would make it clear that I am not talking about the main campus of HPU , it's about BTC DAV College banikhet , Chamba.

The labs were filled with damaged apparatus . None of them worked properly and gave wrong readings . Above that the teacher would teach us the wrong way . There is a small case I would like to share . The washrooms for girls were really very disgusting the dustbin was filled with used sanitary pads but never emptied . The toilets were never cleaned . The pipes were also damaged and the dirty water from toilet would be on the floor along with poop sometimes .a girl registered an online complain against the college . The principal came to know about the girl and she suspended her . I never used that toilet in my three years . The classrooms were very small and the labs as I told were damage . No smart board and no presentation. No notes are provided. . There was no ground and no sports facilities . And the overall campus was very small. No facilities were provided .

I did not apply for any other college . My parents did not want to send me to some other city for studying so it was the only college near our house . So I had to take admission here. To anyone who thinks of coming here should not come here .

The faculty members as I said we're not well qualified and also thery were very rude to us . Sometimes a girl 3 years older to us would come to teach us and teach more than half things wrong . We had to prepare for the final examination by our own . They would take our unit test in December and all the questions were so inaccurate according to the final examination. I would like to tell that the final examination was of very easy nature . One subject would carry 100 marks. From which 50 for theoretical exam and 20 for practical exam and 30 for internal assessment .the 50 marks of theoretical exam were quite easy to achive by studying well doing pyqs . They rarely asked numericals in physics. But the 50 marks to be given by college were always very less. They would always give unrealistic marks. I remember when our 1st year result can 70% of the students were fail . But the teachers never make us do any practical properly . Our chemistry teacher was always confused with the chemicals . Our LA would also be annoyed of her sometimes. But the university exams are easy .

Our college did not provided any type of hostel . There were students how cam from outside to study or who were not local . They had to take pg or rooms on rent . I myself was a local so had no worries about it. But being a hill Station there were many places you can treck and explore .the season was always good and there are no extreme summers. You will experience a summer of 25°c or less.
