Postive remarks is it is an kerala iit.so it is growing fast.everything is running very fast either construction or infrastructure.in negative points u can say about jobs in civil,mech branch.otherwise not any specified negativities.
Course Curriculum Overview
Btech civil engg in iit palakkad is okk.not too good not too bad.course curriculum specially lab sessions are hard working type.otherwise all courses are same as that of iit madras.each and every are taught here.
Placement Experience
Internships provided are good.but in cibil engh stipends are generally not providee.all other branches students are given stipends.PLACEMENT IS NOT GOOD HERE FOR ALL OTHER BRANCHES EXCEPT CSE BRANCH. Overall it is a good competitive environment for both internship and placement.
College Events
Petrichor(college) technocultural fest.these consist of two phases.In the beginning techno fest takes place.various otger college students are invited to take part in our college fest.specially in civil engineering we organised bridge making competition and analysing it,workshops etc.then cultural fest comes in which people are welcomed to show their social skills
Fee Structure And Facilities
For general category students it is normally 1.4 lakh per sem.but those who are backward either in terms of economically or by caste they are given some scholarship or reimbursement.for people having income less than 1 lakh they are exempted from tuition fee.
Fees and Financial Aid
Sbi offers scholarship foe economically backward students at very low rate.this is introduced by government of india few years ago during college time they don't impose interest on principal money.u can easily get at time of admission.
Campus Life
Sports facilities are very good.table tennis and tenis are in hostel itself.whenever u want to play go and play there.we have a playground for palying football and cricket.one volleyball court has been made.baseball court construction has almost completed.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel facilities are world class.hospital facilties are quite good.it is available 24/7.whenever u want u can go.infrastructure are quite road.any help regarding hostel are solved asap.overall it has very hostels to live with regular cleaning corridors and common bathrooms.
Alumni/Alumna
Thus time we do not have any alumni.senior students are quite helpful.tgey do not torture us instead they help us.they help in every possible way we need.they help during exams and they provide us notes and helps in preparing internship interview.
Admission
I got admission by cracking jee advanced.it was tough paper back in 2016 but hard work helps somehow.i got 14000 rqnk so i got civil engineering here in iit palakkad.it is one of the new best iit we have.
Faculty
Faculty are highly qualified here.most of the professor here have done their phd either in us or abroad.there are many visiting faculting from iit madras.they come on weekly basis.they teach very nicely.
