What Students Say
Likes
- Great and supportive faculty....very well qualified too!
- Good environment in the college and canteen is also pretty decent for the prices
- Transportation is also really good and almost spread over major places
Dislikes
- Ofc every college has got record work, etc but here it's kinda strict, although for our good, a bit stress-giving stuff
- Events do happen but not very often, but when there're events, it's a whole week of joy
- Strict regarding attendance and academic aspects
Course Curriculum Overview
Curriculum is planned by the whole department before commencement of sem and they put up all the topics required. As of first year, it's only basic concepts which build the foundation, we slowly feel it's relevance towards the end of semester. Frequency of exams is also well planned and curriculum is perfectly planned and is finished within time frame and we get a good amount of time for preparation
Internships Opportunities
There are many oppurtunities for internships but I have no idea as I am still a first year student but as per the info from seniors and faculty...the oppurtunities are many and many tier 1 companies approach our seniors and our seniors also work on many innovative projects
Placement Experience
The placement percentage is really great, although it has come down due to Covid, but now it has risen up greatly (2024), yet to be posted officially. We become eligible for interns and offers from 3rd year ( I am not exactly sure but few of my seniors have worked in a few companies). Tier 1 companies like Oracle, Google, and many other companies do visit the college. Highest package of 1 cr was offered by Google , avg package is 9-10 lakh. The percentage of selection is above 90.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure goes like 1.5 lakh per annum on an average for all courses....and for 4 yrs it's around 6-7 lakhs. There are few fee reimbursement schemes for people eligible. Along with tuitiom fee...only additional fee applicable is during semester exams (for sem exams). There will be few expenses in the start of course for aprons, records, etc.
Campus Life
There are two major events, freshers and Euphoria, and there're only these two major events where whole college is in a joyous environment. Few minor events do happen but not all are involved. All the classrooms are equipped with a projector and there're no ACs in the class but classes are good enough with peaceful environment, there're quite a few activities every week and campus life is very peaceful and cool. Moreover college being around an artillery area...it's very calm and the number of trees is significant.
Admission
I have applied for CBIT, VNR and other top ones in my state, but I chose Vasavi cuz of the reviews I got from seniors in various colleges and the major point was the faculty, who were kinda better than its competitor CBIT, I got ECE branch in almost all the colleges in Telangana, I aspired for ECE, so I chose that and in vasavi, there are no admissions based on donation fee, it's all based on our Merit which is a really good thing that has grabbed my interest
Faculty
Faculty is very well qualified and many of them have got a very good experience. Their teaching methods are flexible as to reach students, and they're really supportive once we start showing interest towards the subject. Also they're fun loving many a times. But in terms of academics they're also strict sometimes when we go out of reach. Exams are quite easy if we are well aware of subject. It's purely dependent on our preparation
Night Life
I have no proper idea of nightlife as I am a day scholar, but there are no hostels under college, all are private. But talking of library, it's accessible and has great number of books and it's even open in summer.
