Remarks

Positive -Well, its an IIT. People knows what is IIT. Negative -all colleges have their negative aspects. I couldn't figure out any such negative feature.

Course Curriculum Overview

it's good. A total of 8 semesters with different grade points. At the end, one needs to complete 280 credits(in case of cse) in order to get his/her Btech degree.

Placement Experience

Placements are just awesome. Average package for Cse last year was around 15 lakhs per annum. For electrical and mechanical it was around 11 lakhs per annum. For civil, chemical it was around 6 lakhs per annum. Yes, almost everyone is provided with internships

College Events

Anwesha-one of the biggest college fest in eastern india. Celesta -technical fest of IIT Patna. Infinito-sports fest of IIT Patna. E Week -entrepreneurial summit at IIT Patna Reverberance, and many others

Fee Structure And Facilities

For general and OBC (income>5 LPA) -1 lakh(tution fee) +20-30k others per semester. For general and OBC(income betn 1 and 5 LPA). Tution fee is 1/3.rest is Same. For SC/ST,no tution fee., only the other charges.

Education loan-from bank. There are various Scolarships.like MCME scolarship etc.

Campus Life

Sports facilities are not awesome, but they are pretty good. Labs and cocurricular are pretty cool being an IIT, we get high funds from Indian govt.

Alumni/Alumna

Seniors are extremely helpful. The coordination amongst us is really great. Alumni programs are held in regular intervals. Yes,they are extremely helpful. They resolves our issues. Infact we call them as Bhaiyyas and didis

Admission

I had qualified JEE Mains and Advanced entrance exam., which is an all india based exam for engineering aspirants. In order to get admission in IITs, one needs to have a below 10k rank (general gender neutral)

Faculty

Good.All are atleast PhD holders in their respective fields either from top Indian colleges or foreign.

Best at Low rank and low Fee

Placement Experience:

The placement of this college is not good at all. The avrage package of this college is around 4-5 Lpa. Because this college is new so the placement is not good here. But Our college is trying their best for getting the good placement to student.

Campus placement was good as I came but it is degrading year to year, this year only 30 percent of ece students are placed, no more company of ece core came here ece and cse get same job as no of students increased in my batch 300 and ece 250 thus in 2027 placement will become worst , Upsc, gate, ssc these are end things

IIT Patna is very best in India. According to NIRF ranking 2025, IIT Patna is ranked 36th in the overall category, and 39th in the research institutes category. In the India Today rankings 2024, it was ranked 9th in the category of colleges. Admission process was very smooth, firstly you apply / registration in B.Sc (CSDA) course.
