Labs are very good at IIT Roorkee. Every lab has a lab attendant who helps in experimental and all. When it si comes to sports IIT Roorkee have proved themselves best among other IITs. The hostel facility of the IIT Roorkee is an outstanding comparison to other colleges. Since IIT Roorkee comes in Roorkee a district of Uttrakhand, it is near Haridwar. Even during the summer seasons, you would not feel much warm compared to other engineering colleges of the northern region.

Alumni of the IIT Roorkee are always I touch. Sometimes through mail or maybe via direct phone call. If any senior is not in touch, then alumni day which is celebrated by students is contacted via students. Alumni from IIT Roorkee are supposed to be in touch via different modes. IIT Roorkee also invites for motivational talks.

Getting a Ph.D. in IITs is depends on your research area and your interest. I have done my M.Tech from IIT Hyderabad after which I applied for Ph.D. admission to IIT Roorkee. Where followed by a technical interview I got admission. I have qualified GATE-2013 and GATE-2017 however, Being an M.tech degree holder from IIT Hyderabad helped me a lot in getting a Ph.D. Although, these days GATE is not mandatory for Ph.D. admission if you are an M.Tech degree holder.

Faculties from the IIT Roorkee are very experienced and they do not bother even work after 6 pm. All the faculties have been studied from elite colleges. Their knowledge makes students curious and promotes them for new inventions.
