Course Curriculum Overview

4

If i' m talking about myself, initially I didn't like this course as I have never been intrested in agriculture. But after getting admsn in this colleges things change and now i' m a student of Bsc(Hons.) Horticulture , and I think it is one of the best course. As in this course we study about different horticultural crops like fruits , vegetables, spices, medicinal crops, floriculture etc. If we talking about classes & exam , so a little bit hectic schedule are here. Classes are from 10 a.m to 5 p.m. And we have two exam ,mid term & end term with practicals. So during mid term ,we have to written our exm along with classes, which is quite a little bit hectic. And if someone ask me for any improvement, my only suggestion is to suspend our classes during exam. It's very hectic & stressfull for students.

Internships Opportunities

4

Many companies are here for internship here but actually I'm a 3rd year student ..so I exactly don't know the name now. But our seniors got internship last year and it was good. The intership is related to agriculture sector obviously and it's for 2 to 3 months. Someone got paid internship or not too .

Placement Experience

4

Placements cell is not good here, but I think in coming years it will provide placements here also. After completing this degree, my plan is to clear govt. sector exams. My intrest is in to get a job.But many of my batchmates have plan for further studies like msc, phd etc.

Fees and Financial Aid

As this is a central government college, fees structure here is less. 8000-9000 per semester we have to pay. Also we got NTS (National Talent Scholarship) 3000/ month at the end of semester. Hostel facility are there & adminstration also provide buses during summer for classes. We have to pay mess fee 2600/month .

Campus Life

4

Overall experience is good. I'm a studious type of student who just enroll in her study and study-related extra work like field, practicals But here a lot of options is there. Our college organises various types of competitions like poster making, dancing, singing, photography, cooking, literature etc So if u choose this college u get a chance to explore many things I think the place I like here most is the library. it provides a peaceful environment, u can spend ur whole day here but it's not possible becoz the Library's timing is 10 am to 7 pm only. There is a facility of newspapers and journals in the library and also lots of different types of books. Sports facilities are also good here. there is a badminton court, volleyball ground and also have a coach for practice. We also have yoga or meditation sessions every morning.

Hostel Facilities

4

Overall hostel facility is good ...we have room of 3 occupancy for ug..and it have proper space, 3 bed, 3 almirah and 3 table chairs are there. Rooms are aerated and good here. Infact mess is also good. As everyone know about hostel food, it's obviously not give the vibe of home food but yaa u can survive..???? Overall it's not too bad nor too good...it's like yeas u can eat and survive.

Admission

I got this college by chance or maybe it's my destiny I didn't choose it but this college chose me. The admission process is u have to appear for icar ug entrance, I think now it's included in cute. I don't have that much of knowledge. At our time, we have to give entrance through icar ug entrance. then the merit list prepared a/Q to marks or percentile we got.

Faculty

5

They interact with each & every student as in each class no. of student are less so they easily interact with everyone & know everyone' s behaviour. Here also each student are assigned a advisor (professor) from who he/she can share their any issue ,personal or professional. Basically, each student come under a advisor. Almost all faculty are best here..but some are my favorites like Dr. Saurabh Singh Sir( Vegetable Science), Dr. Govind(Fruit Science), Dr. Vishwanath (Soil Science) & Dr.Arjun Ola(Vegetable science). I have best interaction with them and they always available as a guardian for me. I think all professors are good here, noone as dislike but yes one our professor Dr.Umesh pankaj, he is a microbiologist..he is best in teaching and knowledge ,but I personally feel as a teacher he don't understand the emotion of students...he taunt anything to any student and i think may be something good hides in those taunts. Talking about exam schedule, it is very hectic here. We have 2 quizes , 1 mid term , 1 practical and then end term exam.

Night Life

4

Don't know anything about night outing becoz our hostel gate closing time is 7 p.m. Yaaa but there is open gym in our hostel . So those who want to exercise can be do anytime as it is inside our hostel campus. Our hostel area is large and it is so beautiful as there are different type of plants are there .so we can walk in hostel area after dinner , it is so peaceful.

Placement Experience:

The placements for the B.Sc Agriculture course at Invertis University are growing but may not be very high compared to technical courses. Some companies visit the campus for agriculture-related roles such as agri-input companies, seed companies, fertilizer companies, and marketing positions. Students with good communication and technical knowledge usually get good opportunities. However, not every student may get a direct campus placement.

Students get placed in starting of 4th year that is 7th semester. The companies that often visit are pradhan co.pvt.ltd, seed companies and drone companies also companies like Nestle and britannia visit for placements. Highest ctc in 2025 was 19LPA and the avg was 7.5 LPA these data are also available on nirf site. Nearly 30% students get placed because remaining prefer higher studies over placement, those who are financially weak consider placement. My plans are different, I'm preparing for CAT and want to persue mba in agribusiness management from iim ahmedabad or iim lucknow.
