Remarks

Positive : It is oldest Government college in Bhavnagar. Faculties are good. Infrastructre is good. Library has lots of reference books to use. Negative : No regular lectures. Outside city area so travelling is problem.

Course Curriculum Overview

3

Curriculum: After the GTU there is a good change in terms of curriculum. Now it consist of diffrent subject which is in current trend. For example in mechanical subject like hydraulic turbines is given which was not before. The limit of thinking is increased because of this vast variety of subjects Exam structure: Remedial exam is followed by semester exam.

Placement Experience

2

In my time there were 3 companies approached for job opportunities.out of these three.two companies were MNC and one was local.total 2 persons were selected. Internship is not provided by college and we have to arrange it by ourself.

College Events

2

National youth event and national tech event were organised. We volunteer this event so there was lot of learning.we decided budget to create this event as well as what will be the events programs and activities will be there.with help of this event we came across diffrent vendors who sponsored us it was good learning experience.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Feasible as it was a government college. Government colleges have very nominal fees structure compared to private. I remember my semester fees was as nominal as 800 rupees only. Annual fees was 1600.

Fees and Financial Aid

For the students who are in SEBC or SC / ST CAST. there is a waiver scheme is going on in which student will get scholarship of some amount. Detail of this scholarship is available with college HEAD OF DEPARTMENT.

Campus Life

4

Labs were pathetic most of the PCS were outdated and not working.however the word is that now college has updated this with new one. About sports activities : There i a cricket and volleyball. Indoor activities were limited due to lack of resource.

Alumni/Alumna

Yes seniors were really helpful.i remember our was first batch of GTU and at that time our curriculum was totally changed.new paper style new system.it was difficult to understand this process and at that time seniors were there to guide us and help us.

Admission

After 12th result there is a website ACPDC in which we have to register our self and payment of some amount for registration will be redirected to particular bank.after a registeration there will be verification of documents at various help centre.after this process there will be merit list as per the result of 12th main exam and competitive exam with a weightage of 60% for main and 40% for competitive.as per the merit list student will be selceted for the choice of branch and choice of College he/she can enroll

Faculty

It was a government college so based on that the lectures were not that regular as well as faculties were good but they were very busy in administrative works so lectures were not arranged on time.we have to go and search the faculties and request them to take a lectures.

Course Curriculum Overview:

As we all know , college learning is not only about textbooks, and real world knowledge is equally important. in this area, the college supports student well by giving exposure to practical learning . the course includes industry related topics, and teachers also try to explain how concepts are used in real life. the curriculum is helpful, but adding more modern tools, software and hands on projects would make it even better. Overall, the syllabus prepares student for future jobs and higher studies, while still leaving some room for improvement.

studemts become eligible for campus placements from the 7th semester. The placement acitivity keeps happening throghout the final year.companies like TCS,Tata LTIindtree, wipro and few local startup like tcs and ltimindtree and the avg pakage stays on the lower sidw compared to big private colleges,The opporrinties are there ,but not as many as we expect. the percnatage of stundents getting placed depends a lot on the batch ,but it's definitely not 100%. A good number of students get interships or jobs their own efforts also, beacuse some companies dont visit every year.if a student if genuinely working on skills and projects, they can manage to get something , but the college placements alone might not be enough for evryone. after completing my degree, l plan to work on my technical skills and try for better opportunities throgh of campus options as well.i don't want to depend only on the on capus placements.my goal is to build a good portfolio so i can apply to bigger companies later.
