Course Curriculum Overview

3

The course curriculum is fairly relevant and moderately comprehenshive. The courese curriculum covers DS, JAVA, DBMS, OS etc. Since i was specializing in the field of development, the coverage of topics like java, C and python worked out really well foor me. Two internal and one final exam per semester, besides inyernal assesments such as assignments and quizzes. Lab exams are conducted at the end of each semester that test the practical skills. While midterms are not too complicated and the finall exams requred proper preparation.

Fees and Financial Aid

The year wise I am paying 85000 as a dayscholar student including bus fare. Tuition fees is around 70000, registration fees is 1500 per semester, there will be no readmission fess, lab record fees is 400-500/- per semester. During the pursuing degree one can avil scholarship from state or national govt. by applying through online and as a sc category student i am getting 60000 per year as scholarship. Name of the scholarship is state post-matric scholarship

Campus Life

3

The annual fuction is SPARKEL 2K24 is the fest. And there is also a tech fest named GARRIMA 2k24. It's usually held in the month of feb-march. There is a central library with large no. of books and jouranlas availability. There is also a digital library with free wifi connetivity. Anuual sports is held once per year during the month of decemmber. There are clubs and groups and there is NCC and NSS. By joing club you can apply your skills to prepare some new thingss etc

Admission

I have applied in NITs and some govt colleges but I am not getting the CSE brach seat as per my preferance. Then I feel low as i scored less percentile in jee that's why i was upset then my uncle told me to about this college with less fess I can afford knowledge and midium type placements are also there. That's why I choose the college. Yes I got rejection from khalikot govt college and OUTER govt. college. Addmision process in my college is quite simple you have applly for the counseling the if you are seleceted then they will call you for reporting with documents and you have to pay the some amount of your yearly course fee. The cuttoffs of the instute is 50% in the 12th and appered in jee or ojee that's all.

Faculty

4

Faculty to student ratio is approx. 1:33. The relationship between faculty is cordial, most of the teachers are approachable, especially during college hours they do not hesitate to clarify any doubts. Prof. Aishwariya Lenka is my fav faculty during the 1st semester session she helps me a lot in studies and for moral support she is the best person. Dr. Dishesh Dash and prof. Pani they are the best faculties. Prof. Laxman Sahoo is knowledgeable, but the pace of teaching is very fast, and many student cannot catch up. There are two internal examminatiojn and one final examination per semester. Alsoo there are several internal assessment exercisises regularly. Exams are moderate in dificulty. Practical exam is compartevely is easy.

Night Life

2

The campus gym is open untiill 9Pm. Cafeeria is open till 10PM and there is some public area but to go outside everyone needs permission from the hostel authority. Girls are not allowed to stay more time outside with or without permission. It the worst thinng about the college. Hostel and campus closing timing for boys is 11Pm. And for girls it is 6PM. There is mart outside the college. There is no safe place outside the campus at night

Placement Experience:

the placement is also not that much great. they are very few companies TCS and Infosys are the mass recuriter here . The core companies are close to null . So you have to go to only to the IT companies that to at a very low package . My students work for as low as 2.5 lac per annum . This year almost everybody was between 3lac to 10lac bracket . The highest on campus package are about 25 lac . Not more than that most of time. and the average package is almost about 3-4 lac per annum . The percentage of the students placed is also really bad . Most of the students have to hurdle by himself.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course because at first I was interested to automobile engineering but I didn't got it from other college so I preffered this mechanical engineering. It is a very though course as it seems. And there was 1:7 for faculty and student ratio. Faculties were highly qualified and some did PhD and m. Tech and other are fresher. The teaching skill differ person to person. The thermodynamics faculty was very excellent. In every year there was 2 semester and it is a little difficult. And before semester there was internal and viva.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Padmanava College of engineering is coming under Biju Patnaik University of Technology (BPUT , odisha). As there is always a myth about private colleges that they help in cheating but from my experience padmanava College is strictly against cheating and rather it supports quality of education. If you are a hard working student you will pass the exam very easily.
