A honest review for IIIT Agartala

i]The course currilculum needs an update and revision. ii]The course curriculum is executed in good pace but sometimes quality is compromised.But overall the curriculum and execution is GOOD. iii]The examination frequencyb is good. But the quality of examination and Time alloted for examination can be improved by an increase. iv]The Examination quality can be improved by making it more conceptually deep with less question. v]The curriculum needed a segregation into various sub branches like AI , ML, Hardware, Software, Cyber Security, etc.

folowing companies visited: Namekart Lumencia Collegedunia Turing Carehealth Digit Insurance Tata Power TCS etc. The average internship stipend revovlve around 30 to 40 thousands rupees per month.

For placements the college have all the rquired provisions. I] The college allows placement drives from 7th semester and allows to pursue the internship from 8th semster onwards without any neccessity to be on campus during that time. II] The placed candidates can leave for internship and then after intership they have reprt back tp college with a progress report and project report. III] List of companies visited: Nameskart Collegedunia Oracle Turing Carehealth Lokal Tata Power TCS Digit Insurance EPAM Erino Justpay and many many more III] almost all the students are placed about 85%. My ambition after the college degree is to grow into AI Engineer.

The institute currently runs under guidance of its mentor institute National Institute of Technology Agartala, though soon they have their own functional infrastructure. I]Currently the courses that are offered are 1. Btech in Computer Science and Engineering.While Batch stength is increasing. II] Fee structure and Hostel Services 1.Tuition fee for each year is approximately 1,25,000 Rs per semester. there are 8 semsters. 2.Hostel fee: 24000 along with mess. 3. 4 types of mess are available: Northern , Southern , Vegetarian and North Eastern. Possible accomodation for Jain food is also also available on request. III] Average Package : 25 lpa. Highest known Package : 1.15 Cr per annum (off campus) There are abundance of opportunities available on campus Scholar ships are available for reserved category. In current situation completely degree will practically takes abot 12 to 15 lakhs of rupees for 4 years.

Overall college and campus life is not recoomended. people are highly diveregent away from studies and the campus and social aspect provides them with that opportunities. There are multiple cultural programs basicaally representing NorthEast India. Library is vast abd very well equipped with impressively rich collection of books covering various topic from various field authored by Indian and foreingn authors. Sporta nd extracurricular activity is good and well equipped and support a healthy lifestyle. Many groups are available fpr extra curricular activities thpugh are not very well and uniformly funded: 1]Ecell - Enterpreneurship 2)DCC - Coding 3) Vaahan - for vehicle and drones etc. and many more.

Limited Rent facility is available near Gate 1 of college only. Meal and mess quality is between average and poor. Registration process is guided by Josaa and executed by college i itially. Later every year there is tendency of mismaatching the working timing and the tentaive notice timings, but usually done seamlessly. Hostel facility is good affordable but problem in Network connectivity and power consistency is experienced

Other colleges that was applied by me were 1.KNIT Sultanpur 2.MMM Gorakhpur 3.NIT Manipur 4.IIIT Manipur 5. IET Lucknow 6.NIT Agartala 7.NIT Meghalaya Reason to select current college is fullfilment of following parameter 1 Institute of National Importance and IIIT tag 2 Good reviews and good number of available opportunity 3 Computer Science and Engineering branch in Btech 4 Well qualified faculty members 5 Good Hostel accomodation 6 Currently running under NIT Agartala 7 Well established alumni network 8 Exposure it give to other colleges too. 9 Low number of students in batch and ample number of opportunity results in high opportunity to student ratio.

Current Faculty to student ration is low and more facuLty member are deffinitely needed. 1] Experience faculty member are gravely needed. 2] Better infrastructure and architectural support is needed. 3] No student benefit is experienced by student like access to IEEE papers using student access. this is a major drawback among othjers like no accomodation for reimbursement on home to college transport and vice versa which is offered by other Institutes of National Importance. 4]Lack of network facilty and speed and unavailability of power for long hour can sometimes frustrate the student especially in final year.

Night life is dangerous as the college currently is well blended with forest thus appearance of snakes are not surprising. Many accidents are also reported . Hostel do not have any timing criteria . Campus timing is from 9am to 5pm. Not much hanging out places. Its not wrong to say that a food court supports and centalise for cafeterias and all. A well established and high end library is available. City has many places for tourist interest that can be enjoyed.
